don't get a bike for sheer speed....

get it for ride-ability... for comfort... for layan corners.... and highways.

my suggestion? CBR fireblade or Yamaha R1... any years... but personally, i'd take first gen R1. hehehe

u can mount a videocam on ur bike.
i did see couple of vidclips showing topspeed by ounting a vidcam on their bike.

btw, u can also buy an Apexi RSM to record ur top speed.
then after u've stopped the vehicle, just call up the memory and snap the top sped pic la.

i did it once abt 7 years ago with a E230.
just after KESAS kemuning toll.
another E230 was speeding and my dad say "cuba kejar".
so i just floored it.

all are either sportscar or supercar or superbike.

well if you are driving the porsche 911 turbo, u dont have to take pic. the car has a built in program to record all your top speeds, lap time etc so that you can show them to ur friends at the pub.

i'm just a normal guy la. used to owned those machines with hard earned money leh. in US, i was a pizza delivery guy. the Viper GTS-R is my friend's car. his dad is one of the VP of General Motors. The Hayabusa also his bike. Me only driving EF Civic with Type R engine and also the CBR600F2. Cars and bikes are damn cheap over there compared to malaysia.

The R34 GTR VSpec II also belongs to another friend of mine. he was in the car at that time. we were going to Aerotech in Nilai to dyno tuned his car. he told me, "how fast u think u can reach nilai? 10 minutes can or not?" ... at that point, i just floor the bugger! hahaha

on that hayabusa... after reaching 300+km/h... slows down to 200... 100... and eventually stop by the side of the highway. got off the bike... fainted! too much adrenalin rushed! really dizzy and it took me about 10 minutes just to gather myself again and got up... have a drink... and move on. haha.. my friends were laughing at me but at the same time i gave them quite a scare when i fainted. hehehe

Now, only driving a Kembara.

Yeah I'll take that as an advice. Actually top speed is a small matter. On a bike, all you do is crouch under the windshield at top speed, boring stuff.

Oh yeah, forgot to tell, fastest speed ever was with my father..........120km/h only.

Yup, cars in US is cheap. A brand new Honda accord 2.4 @ 200bhp is not more than USD30k. A 2nd hand year 2000 accord coupe 3.0 V6 only about USD4k.
