QUOTE(cybpsych @ Sep 6 2015, 08:56 AM) been chatting with Sam's Groceria rep over FB about utility bill payment there... 1) Sam's accepts payment for Celcom, U Mobile, RedTone, Astro, and TM only. 2) About TM, Sam's have been accepting all TM bills, as long as the server is linked. 3) About TNB, right now Sam's have facing technical glitch with TNB billing system and as such, cannot accept this bill for payment. Only when TNB sort it, then they are good to go. 4) Sam's accepts payment using Credit Cards and Touch 'n Go cards. 5) About bringing hardcopy bill statement, NOT required. You can show the eBill and do ensure the account number is correct before you make the payment. 6) No service charge/fee for paying bills 7) You can collect member points as long as you present your member card before the payment. QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Sep 11 2015, 09:12 PM) fyiwe discussed this in length at MBB ikhwan topic |

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Sep 12 2015, 07:39 AM) BTW, what details do they need? Do I have to bring the whole statement there? Or account number will do? Is the counter the same as T&G counter? tell them the account number. that's it.need to specify you are paying Unifi bill cuz they need to select the option on the POS screen. I purposely show them TM Unifi ebill cuz can show the acc number + TM logo at the corner yes, any counter would do actually. mid-centre is preferred cuz local staff there. |

QUOTE(leo_kiatez @ Sep 12 2015, 01:58 PM) Sam's POS is linked with ePay.i use cc to pay Sam's. ePay pay my Unifi. There would be settlement between Sam's <--> ePay, usually on monthly basis. luckily Sam's accept cc for ePay transactions. i had experience with Tesco whereby ePay instructed Tesco not to accept cc for mobile reload |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Sep 13 2015, 08:35 AM) I will tell you why. Their FD promo never been higher than other bank. hlb's fd never been higher nor competitive with others. that's their business decision to focus on other revenue streams. so be it. we go for uob or ocbc, heck even go for mbsb or br.If a bank is generous, they will not impose complicated T & c. The min 10xrm50 swip, 3 category limit, "bonus" mobile is to ensure people will have a hard time earning cashback although lowyat members have managed it. So all in, you tell me that they are not stingy. you got some funds in FDs, well, that's the lowest-mid risk of investment. again, since it's a fixed/term deposit, the funds are "locked" by the bank. again, you're "loaning" your own money to the bank, to earn the interests back. about cc, which banks are generous, no af, gives high cashback (as high as Wise's 10%) and without complicated t&cs? most of us interested to know. one good thing about Wise's stringent requirements (i had doubts too b4 applied it last year) is forcing cardmembers to micromanage their spending (until getting max RM100 cashback with lowest spending at about RM985.05); ultimately saved us from overspending, unncessary interests, discipline ourselves, and improving cashflow (instead of perpetually increase with debts, which as the vicious cycle goes, benefits the banks in the end). from the wave of benefits reduction applied to some of the most previously-generous cards recently (suspect due to BNM's Payment Card Reform Framework), all banks gotta reduced benefits to "comply" one way or another. obviously the end results are affecting customers (same effect to GST), and protect bank's bottomline as much as possible. it's good that you dont use credit cards. saved from all the troubles ya. |

That means, spend a cumulative total of RM985 to achieve RM100 cashback, effective rate is about 10.15% i've simulated the calculation (on paper), you need to all 3 categories to achieve highest cashback rate with the lowest spending QUOTE(Ramjade @ Sep 13 2015, 07:55 PM) the example above is max spending (RM325/335) per category. you can mix around 3 categories to achieve RM985.my Aug spent hit exactly RM985.05 ![]() |
