Diablo 3 on ultrawide is so nice, shame we cant do the same for Starcraft 2 though, such a pretty game

Funny though Blizzard takes on this. How many of us here actually buy an ultrawide monitor to gain more competitve edge?

Well a lot of us were actually hype and wait for this monitor last time, but then came in the Merdeka sales so a lot of us succumb to temptation that time and get the Acer X34A or Asus PG348Q .

There was no news at all that time about when the Z35P are coming here. If not mistaken after a week when most of us succumb to the Merdeka sales only then I saw Ideal Tech listed that monitor on their price list.

Gsync is what causes the cost to be like that. Last I check any monitor with gsync in it will already cost you more than 2K. A few months back the Asus model actually cost around 6.3K

To maximise everything setting yes you need 1080ti. But 1070 is capable of running the ultrawide as well with a few compromise dependings on the game of course

If just for that resolution, 1070 also can drive it. But when you want to crack everything on ultra, that is when what gpu you have will matter. With 1070 you need to tone a few settings down but from what i heard it aint that bad anyway.

Haha unfortunately the difference will indeed by there and quite noticeable as well. 1070 is the minimum for ultrawide, whereas the 1080ti is the sweetspot for this monitor right now

Unfortunately not much of a choice when it comes to old games. Some of them doesnt age well with advancement in monitor tech haha. Had to refund Dawn of War older series cause I cant stand at the graphic quality despite the fun gameplay. Now most of the time i just stick with modern games. There is a community that provide patches for ultrawide support but dont expect perfection.

There was a time way back people used to say there was no difference between 30 and 60fps. Fast forward today you know full well that is BS . Probably to poor as well those days to afford a rig that can support 60fps, to live in denial is better sometimes hahaha.
I think at the end of the day, if your eyes are used to something you will notice the subtle differences.

There is a saying when I was in university the lecturers always drill onto us, your eye do not see what your brain doesnt know. The same goes for the ear.

Dont get me wrong, I do believe like you said some of those big words they like to use are marketing gimmicks, but I know those who are more used to it than me and most of us would surely notice the difference.
