Funny though Blizzard takes on this. How many of us here actually buy an ultrawide monitor to gain more competitve edge?

Hahaha that's the point of having big ass screen size, either to immersed yourself in your game or multitask like a boss like you do haha.

QUOTE(Legendary Big Boss @ Sep 22 2017, 12:41 AM) How u guys play YouTube video on ultrawide monitor? Cant do much apart from stretching those videos with a tool on chrome. Most youtubers put up their content in 16:9 ratio as the others have mentionI always get that black sidebar and only some video played ultra wide.btw I'm using the LG 29 inch model. |

QUOTE(nathanraja45 @ Nov 30 2017, 03:35 PM) Anyone bought acer predator Z35P? read last 20 pages and everyone was talking about it... but no one actually reviews st hand user experience here... QUOTE(Cynox @ Nov 30 2017, 06:21 PM) It is not available in Malaysia yet right? Well a lot of us were actually hype and wait for this monitor last time, but then came in the Merdeka sales so a lot of us succumb to temptation that time and get the Acer X34A or Asus PG348Q Esit: Oppss.... looks like it is being sold in Lelong.com already. |

QUOTE(Cynox @ Dec 4 2017, 01:48 PM) depends on your usage, I wouldn't mind taking Z35P with VA panel compared to my current Asus PG348Q. Few of us were waiting for Z35P for quite some time but so happen Asus got good offer during Merdeka sales, so just buy it. If both prices are around the same, I will opt for the extra 1 inch. There was no news at all that time about when the Z35P are coming here. If not mistaken after a week when most of us succumb to the Merdeka sales only then I saw Ideal Tech listed that monitor on their price list. After using the Asus PG348Q for few months, I still think the screen is not "tall" enough, 38" will be perfect. |

Gsync is what causes the cost to be like that. Last I check any monitor with gsync in it will already cost you more than 2K. A few months back the Asus model actually cost around 6.3K

QUOTE(gn02761859 @ Jan 12 2018, 02:17 PM) My friend told me that minimum I need is 1080ti omg.... To maximise everything setting yes you need 1080ti. But 1070 is capable of running the ultrawide as well with a few compromise dependings on the game of courseWhat is the different in resolution or any major difference if I use 1070? |

QUOTE(gn02761859 @ Jan 12 2018, 08:18 PM) If just for that resolution, 1070 also can drive it. But when you want to crack everything on ultra, that is when what gpu you have will matter. With 1070 you need to tone a few settings down but from what i heard it aint that bad anyway. |

QUOTE(gn02761859 @ Jan 12 2018, 09:21 PM) If that's the case I think 1070 will be fine as I always leave it to Nvidia Geforce Experience to auto tune. Haha unfortunately the difference will indeed by there and quite noticeable as well. 1070 is the minimum for ultrawide, whereas the 1080ti is the sweetspot for this monitor right nowI should be surprise by the result as I am upgrading from a budget monitor to X34P, don't think I will able to spot the differences now between performance of 1070 and 1080ti |

QUOTE(red20ro @ Mar 15 2018, 12:57 PM) Wanted to try these 21:9 Ultrawide monitor from LG. Unfortunately not much of a choice when it comes to old games. Some of them doesnt age well with advancement in monitor tech haha. Had to refund Dawn of War older series cause I cant stand at the graphic quality despite the fun gameplay. Now most of the time i just stick with modern games. There is a community that provide patches for ultrawide support but dont expect perfection. But noticed that lots of games, older ones especially have issue with 21:9 aspect ratio. And, I'm an oldies when it comes to games. Widescreen Support |

QUOTE(craxors @ Jun 21 2019, 09:17 AM) some said... 1ms vs 4ms is just marketing gimmick... u cant even feel that. There was a time way back people used to say there was no difference between 30 and 60fps. Fast forward today you know full well that is BS and.. it is proclaimed by brand itself.... *pls do correct me if i'm wrong. aside from ips vs va panel, the refresh rate is what most people looking for... I think at the end of the day, if your eyes are used to something you will notice the subtle differences. There is a saying when I was in university the lecturers always drill onto us, your eye do not see what your brain doesnt know. The same goes for the ear. Dont get me wrong, I do believe like you said some of those big words they like to use are marketing gimmicks, but I know those who are more used to it than me and most of us would surely notice the difference. |
