I just got my first Ultrawide.

LG 34UC79G

Me also. Money is main concern. Haha.

So true!

As an alternative, korean monitors are actually of good quality. Currently using a Crossover 3412UM(3440x1440, 95hz, IPS, Freesync) and it's working like a charm! Using it for 3 months now and no complaints for now. rclxms.gif Way cheaper than the branded ones.

sendiri buy or from garage sale?

care to share how to buy pls...  smile.gif

Bought it from Ebay under the seller "dream-seller". Took it 4 days until I received the item. Although I paid rm800 in taxes so you might want to lower the declared price of the item. You can also ask the seller to lower it rclxms.gif It's really great quality and really freaking cheap! You can also lowball the seller lol I requested for a $50 off which he obliged. rclxms.gif but of course, buy at your own risk. Bought the perfect pixel version just to give me a better quality cause I read that there are a few who received their panels with dead pixels.

Yeah bro. 30% of the item. sad.gif I was begging at the kastam agent. cry.gif but you can lower the price, say the price is $500, tell them you bought it $200 haha! At your own risk tho. I was just honest about it lol

Now I remember you, you mentioned before you get tax RM 800.

Thanks for recommended this seller,  I just save this seller to my eBay collection. Haha!
*
hehe yeah bro! I checked the Kastam Tariff online and it shows that LED panels are taxed 30% whoever, other PC parts such as gpu, processors, are only 5%. I saw from dream-seller that he has Crossover UW3535(3440x1440, 120hz, HDR) brows.gif

how they calculate tax?
per item or per total cost items?

let say bought many things with 1 shipping...  hmm.gif
*
Apparently, LED panels have 30% tax based from Kastam Tariff. Other items are 5% only.

Joined your esteemed 'club' early this month when I bought a pre-loved Predator X34a from one our forumers here. Used a standard 16:9 1440p 60hz display for about 4 years. I see what it's all about now.. no way in hell I can go back to anything lesser  thumbup.gif

i need some suggestion please,

i search lazanda LG 29UM59A ultrawide around rm800 , is this monitor best for gaming ? , or any better option other than this price range or even cheaper ?
*
it's probably the best you can get at that price range. UW is quite expensive especially if you opt for 34 inch.

Not really sure if the LG 29UM6x is available locally. Saw it in UK online stores but unfortunately not here. As for the 5 series, I guess it's ok as it runs 75hz natively however, HDMI has it limitations as compared to DP. The 6 series has DP port tho hence it's gaming built.

*
Not really the case brother. If you notice 5 series only has HDMI while 6 series has DP which is geared towards gaming. Anyhow, 29UM59A seems to be a good deal.

yeah bro! it's a great alternative! Too bad I sold my LG29UM68p 3 months ago biggrin.gif I knew someone who has a Z35P then went back to X34A, after a few weeks, he purchased an Alienware haha! The perks of living in the US. He got the Alienware for $950 bangwall.gif rclxms.gif

59A has no Display Port but 68 does. So you need to have a converter or a USB universal docking station if you need to connect using Display Port, as advised by a forumer here. Otherwise, use HDMI etc.
You sold 68p and bought which one as a replacement?
Why did he go back to X34A?
Alienware desktop or laptop?
*
Got the Crossover 3412UM. My friend returned the X34a because it is still returnable under 30 days then bought the Dell Alienware with all the X34a features except it can be OCd to 120hz. it's only $950 during Black Friday sale.

I think it is difficult to compare with your friend since the pricing and availability of that monitor is different from those of us in Malaysia. Did you import Crossover 3412UM to Malaysia or are you based elsewhere? How much did you pay for it, and the import tax?
*
Based in Malaysia but I'm warning everyone about the HIGH Kastam tax the the government is charging. It is 30% of the total value. You can probably try to undervalue the item and get away with it but I have a friend who got caught and paid a hefty fine for it bye.gif

I'm actually thinking of getting a Gsync monitor next year. Maybe an X34a or the PG348Q. Prices are dropping and it's getting more affordable but for now, very satisfied with the Crossover.

I import it no problem.
Kastam only charge 6% GST. It is definitely not 30%.
I ship a lot of monitors and 99% only charge 6%
*
It is based from the Kastam Tariff. You'll probably get charged next time biggrin.gif Lucky if you don't but don't say I didn't warn you brows.gif icon_rolleyes.gif
However, other PC parts are charged 6% only. It's just that there's LED emblazoned on the Crossover box. bangwall.gif vmad.gif

Finally after 18 hours, I managed to setup my gaming rig. Ryzen 7 + 1080 Ti.
Will be playing Roblox and Minecraft as staters :')
Recommend me some fantastic ultrawide supported games please!
*
Congrats on the ascension! rclxms.gif there are a wide variety of games that supports Ultrawide. Personally, I like FPS games paired with Ultrawide. The added FOV will give you an edge especially on an open field. 3rd person looks good as well like Witcher 3. Doom, BF1, Ori and the Blind Forest are the games I have played so far.

Hi guys,

I am getting Acer X34P and definately need to upgrade my GC (GTX 960).
Which gc I should getting? Seems like in market GC is shortage now and what I found is Asus 1070 Dual O8G, is that enuff?

Normally i just play CS:GO and planning to join PUBG in future.
*
As mentioned by @Someonesim 1070 is the ABSOLUTE minimum for 3440x1440 display. Was using a Palit GTX 1070 Jetstream. One hell of an overclocker but even overclocked, it's struggling to run Witcher 3 at stable 60 fps. Upgraded to a 1080 but 1070 is still a great choice especially the prices have already normalized.
