QUOTE(pubee @ Feb 2 2008, 01:22 PM) haiya... bro pubee, seriously i can tell u most of the ppl hook up with agent is easier for them not US singapore side no ppl wanna let me hook up temporary. JB side got vacant ma? can hook me up.. dont wanna pay agent leh... where ea successful deal they get half of the rent (it depands) for me i pay S$250 for a common room at S$520 hehe if u dont 1 agent ~ u have to spend time rumbling aroung S'pore for few trips and search for notice borad arounf central for rooms Or...stay with owner which is scary....water restriction, electricity restriction ( if he/she see u have LCD/lappie/CPU/PS3..etc they definitely doing to blame on u, using too much electricity so is up to u whether Agent (might worth too if the agent get u a real nice cheap deal with pretty gals staying together~~ else...JB or day trip to s'pore for visit~ All the best bro~ |

yeah u r right on the facts.. im worrying abot the agency too...if i get hired i will be under them or under the co. i applied for. Normally online resume u have to fill in the current salary in S$ doller where most of us "Malaysian" have to convert in S$ which is sooo small in Sing doller. This figure definately will pull us down in getting new jobs which demand for higher pay in Singapore. let's make an example.. I earn rm3k coverert back to S$ = S$1315 (2.28 5th of February 08) I demand = S$2700 I dont think tat is a nice figure for pay rise....any suggestion for that? Current working field Radio Network Engineer with 2 yrs eperience in Telecommunication Industry Thanks |

u mean lets say i earn rm3k i should demand for S$3k + 25% on top of that..wow im luckly enough to get a higy pay like tat but us "Malaysian" they will pull down our price and let us with no options to take the figure. I got a call from Job Agency say her client can offer max S$2.5k...sigh.... still can survive act.... |

QUOTE(mIssfROGY @ Feb 15 2008, 03:51 AM) yeaps..online haha u'r right "neighbouts" with lower wages QUOTE anyone know how much is a room will cost in Ang Mo Kio? If im not mistaken...there's a agent told me AMK common room cost S$650 with partly firnished no A/C 3 mins walk to AMK MRT + S$300 agent Fee + 1 month bond. Visited the place looks good quite dense...marble floor, emm common room kind off....small Whole unit cost S$2k+ QUOTE Lol that was what happened to me when I'm working in KL as well. Received a call to go for interview while I was working for over a year. But your information astonished me. 50 resumes only managed to get one reply??!! OMGoodness. I received 3 or 4 new jobs notification from jobstreet and jobsdb every one or two days, that means 50/3 =>16 days excluding the jobs that doesn't match my requirements. I even try to give a shot on those jobs which stated "Singaporean or PR only". swt ya bro admit that i had send off 20 job applications only 1 agency call me up for sending my resume to the co. for shortlisted till now no news at all I even get send to those jobs which stated "Singaporean or PR only" but not indicating "straightly" u never knows maybe they cant get any s'poreans to work with Gosh ...is hard to get a job there ...jobs that u want.. The job? yes is something related to me and is a challange for me to learn more new things, is just the bonding part and bonus~~ hmm... Can u guys work for 2 yrs without bonus?
