GeneJin Sorry mate haha kind of rush ~ have to go out for breakfast hehe
Well....im wondering we are not S'porean the salary we asking can be the equal or average pay with S'poren? And i think most co. prefer hiring S'poren or PR at Jobsdb... is just my observation for 2 months... |

Hie Guys,
Wow, this thread getting interesting now, everyone have some points in it. Well, i would say if the foreign company needs you, it means you have some skills they need where they couldn't get any of Singaporeans. Some experience to share with, last month i got a Job offer ( i was so excited) and work for 2 weeks turn out i do not like the job so i quit after that. Been scouting around for jobs in Singapore either direct company website/ jobstreet/jobsdb/monster/<no spam links> but they do not offer my position that im interested in ( im not picky just something I want to achieve in near future). Okie waited for 2 weeks almost give up where so sudden M1 give me a ring for a post. I would like to tell you guys if you want to work in S'pore try frist before you conclude anything. Once you try to apply the jobs offshore, you get at least certain percentage of getting the job. If you dont try applying the job, you get nothing not a chance to get in S'pore to work. Anyway off for the serious conversation~ get some relaxing question to ask ~ U guys meeting up this coming week? im staying at west area.~ ohh ya guys can u guys download movies at Singapore? i have problems downloading...if i use bittorent do i get cough by the gov? Thanks! |

@mIssfROGY
So Miss Froggy, let say i stay in S'pore for a month and worked for 9 days then quit and wait for new Job offer. Let say, starting from monday (30/6/08 onwards) till end of December + 9 days i had work previously do i entitle for 15% tax? or can I add the period i stay at S'pore starting from 1month + 30/6/09~31/12/08? |

hi ahkun,
for the room price, average price at 550~750 at least for a common room. ( not sharing) Is u still at M'sia probably u need to seek for agent where u have to pay agent fees depends on the rate for each common room. Yup POSB and DBS only require S$500 without any offer letter, u just need your S/E pass + Passport + Malaysia IC to open an account. Basically for the first month everything will cost u alot where mostly u have to change all your hard earn savings into Sing dollars where the rate is getting stronger day by day. Above mentioned expenses are really true where u need at least rm5k to survive for the first month and rest u got to get a job there to secure your second and third month rest. Mrt yes it would be S$100 for me as well, if u stay nearer to city the rooms will be super exp. (S$750-S$900 thiong bahru~ Bugis). an estimation. nevertheless, do have some funds with u just incase for rainy days in Singapore where u dont like the job and u quit. p/s: gosh the queue was sooo long at Woodlands just now my journey took me 7 hours from KL -> S'pore faint! |
