Guys,

Need some advice, my M11x has not been use for quite a while, so all the matte black already turn greasy, is there a way to clean it? or need to change the casing or cover of the laptop?

Thank you
*
..

wipe with slightly cloths with little soap, then wipe several rounds with slightly wet cloths after that.

that should do the job.

You want to flash Clevo vbios in to Dell GPU? what GPU you have? and what is your system? I have laptop to flash for you, besides, I also have the eeprom programmer to do flash work.

What a coincidence I just upgraded a Sager NP8150 / Clevo P150HM from HD6990m to GTX680m.

GTX680m is Dell version.

May I know why you want to flash the vbios?

From my search, K3000m only have Nvidia own generic vBIos and HP vbios.

What problem you facing right now? Laptop can't boot up or it can boot up but black screen?

You sure? PK3 work very well for me. PK3 is another choice for me other than IC Diamond and GC Extreme. I think you might just put too much of the Thermal Paste? Thermal paste will become worst if you apply too much.

pk3 should be about the same as gc-extreme, but it's just like ok for me also. gc-extreme imo is more efficient. however i didn't dip the tube into hot water when i apply pk3 so i might be wrong. i do that to gc-extreme. it has better results in my laptops and desktops, for cpu and gpu (all uses dot method).

i have tried liquid ultra. the results are better than gc-extreme, but the thing about metal pastes is that when it dries, it's hardened making it very hard to remove. you need sand papers to polish your heat sink to make it good again.

imo it's better to use gc-extreme. it's much easier to maintain. also, the difference is just about 1 to 2c. (room temperature)

How often you repaste? once a year?
I never put pk 3 in hot water before applying lol.

True with the sand paper thing for liquid pro or ultra but I feel the texture of 3840QM isnt plain all metal it has a rubber on top feel to it too hmmm.

tim actually doesn't need to be replaced often. they're very lasting. we have no choice because for laptops when we clean the cooling system we need to remove the contacts of heatsinks from the dies physically.

i only do tim replacement when cpu/gpu temperatures under load is above 85c. it's been a year+. they're still below that threshold. (about 80c max for cpu, and about 75c for gpus)

uh? rubber on the die? i don't think so, because rubber is insulator.
