Anyone facing any problem with the Nvidia drives? Because currently I'm facing a problem which is whenever I opened Dota 2 in-game after few minutes it black out and jumped to the desktop screen. And it said "nvidia windows kernel driver stopped responding". It crashes my game, however the background sound of the game is still running. Furthermore, I also notice whenever I'm playing game my screen will have yellow patches just like the picture I provided. I had been searching for solution but can't find any till now, btw I'm currently using Nividia version 355.60 newest and my gc is GTX 460M.

Doesn't work for me.
- formatted my m15x
-reroll my nividia version to the older ones

Please help me if you all know what is the problem. Thank you.

what's the temperature like for your gpu? since you have ruled out the os and drivers (older drivers usually work fine), it's likely a hardware issue. maybe cable; maybe gpu. you can try to connect to an external display and see if the yellow thing can be reproduced.

How do I check my GPU temperature?

You can use gpu-z or hwinfo (check sensor only on start) Run the software then play some games. After that check graph or record in the software.

You can also run vga test. This is usually available in dell computers. Press and hold d key then power laptop on, until the screen shows plain color test. During the test observe the screen if the artifact is there. If everything is good, screen will show only plain color change. After the test, the laptop will shut down, or continue to boot.

I think is hardware problem.... I just notice the yellow mark will be gone when I put pressure on the keypad. What do you think ? Should I go to all-it and service it? And also the crashes only occurs once after it crashes and recover it wont happen again but when i restart my laptop it happen again.

it's likely the lvs cable getting loose (at the end that is in contact with mobo. it's just under the keyboard). yeah i think you should have it serviced. if you're comfortable with tearing the laptop down, you can fix it yourself.

when hardware has issues, random things can happen.

Will update here asap. Thank you. This happen when I took it to all-it for clean up. I guess it could be the cable loose, I can hardly start my m15x when I press the alien start button it wont start but when I shake my laptop it started running lol. WEIRD
