GTX450Ti? EOL'ed and don't think you can find one now unless it is a second hand unit.

Intel Core i5 4460 - RM 689
MSI B85M-E45 - RM 289
Kingston 8GB DDR3 1600MHZ Value RAM - RM 199
Zotac GTX960 2GB GDDR5 - RM 699
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 189
Seasonic M12II EVO 520W - RM 319
Thermaltake Versa H25 - RM 135

Total: RM 2519 (GPU is under limited promotion, check Techview/Cyntrix, others are Viewnet price inclusive of GST)

If the promotion is over, downgrade the PSU to FSP Hexa+ 550W at RM 199 and change the GPU to MSI Tiger GTX960 at RM 850.

GTX960 is almost the double performance of GTX750Ti, recommend you to take the opportunity to get it under RM 699 (if still available), it gives you better graphics settings and frame rate in games brows.gif

1.8k max budget with monitor is impossible to get you a desktop to play at highest settings, probably end up with mid settings only with slight CPU bottleneck if the games you play is very CPU demanding.

Intel Pentium G3250 - RM 219
ASrock H81M-VG4 - RM 189
Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600MHz Value RAM - RM 99
PowerColor R9 270 2GB GDDR5 TurboDuo - RM 498
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 189
FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 199
Aerocool V3X - RM 99
BenQ GW2255 - RM 349
TP-LINK TL-WN727N -RM 14

Total: RM 1855 (GPU is from Techview, others are from Viewnet inclusive of GST)

Please note that Far Cry 4 requires at least quad core processor in order to run it, you will need to install a third party fix to play it since your budget cannot fit a quad core processor sweat.gif

Erm.. In this case, how much budget would you recommend to increase in order to get a spec that can play triple-A games in medium to high setting?

or, what is the specs would you suggest if stick with RM1.8k, but with quad core processor?

Thanks!

If need a decent rig to run latest triple A titles, prepare at least RM 3000 (for high-ultra settings 1080p) or RM 2500 (for med-high settings 1080p), add another RM 500 for 24 inch 1080p monitor if you don't have a monitor now.

For 1.8k and want to stick with quad core processor, you end up with no dedicated GPU to run your games but I included a PSU that can support upcoming GPU (when you have money to get one later) sweat.gif

Yup, around that value.

Hardware is not cheap nowadays with weak RM currency + GST.

So sad to hear this man...

Ok, if increase my budget to RM 2k- 2.2k, including monitor (RM 500), windows (rm200-300) and wificard (rm??), what games can I play?

FIFA 15 or coming 16 with highest setting?
UFC with highest setting?

Have to get a "basic" spec and slow slow upgrade the rigs dy. ohmy.gif

[cool.gif[Budget] 1.5k+/-

[Purpose] play games like dota2, NFS, FIFA

[Hardwares that will be re-use] monitor

[Games & softwares that use frequently] dota2, NFS, FIFA

[Personal preferences] full desktop system plug and play / can last stand for at least 2 years? / quad core cpu

I know with my current budget is not possible to get intel i5 or above. So, i3 will be enough.

And if sifu is recommending the spec for me, can advise what should upgrade after I got extra budget?

Total: RM 2255 (OS is from Idealtech, GPU is from Techview, others are Viewnet price inclusive of GST)

This setup will probably allow you to play at medium settings for latest triple A titles. Please note that some games favour Nvidia GPU and same tier AMD GPU will have poorer performance.

I didn't play FIFA 15 and UFC before so I couldn't give you the settings that you can play with this setup, but by looking at the system requirements posted by EA, you should be able to max out it easily since the recommended GPU is just GTX460. You can check out the review on Youtube for more information

If need stay within 1.5k, then either swap the processor to Pentium G3250 (RM 219) or Sapphire R7 250 1GB GDDR5 (RM 319). But the R9 270 at RM 498 really worth the price at the moment. If really want to keep everything under 1.5k, I will choose to downgrade the processor.

When you have more money later, just upgrade the processor + add another 4GB RAM and you are good to go. And about PC lasting 2 years, well it is hard to promise now since technology tends to evolve very fast and it is very hard to catch up.

Good quality 600W PSU is recommended due to power hungry of AMD card (280 and above), just get the GTX960 since it is more power efficient and runs much cooler (and it's new unit tongue.gif )

Thanks man! Will do some research base on this spec. But few questions,

i3 4150 is only duo core right?
If change 4gb ram to 8gb ram will good for spec you recommended?
is benQ monitor good? Found out that few shops are recommned benQ mon too.

Yup 2 cores but with 4 threads.

Changing 4GB to 8GB of course is better, but will cost another RM 100.

BenQ monitor low and mid end monitors are significantly cheaper than other brands and easier to find in Malaysia. And about the quality, I have no idea as I never own BenQ monitor before but you pay for what you get nod.gif
