Not just that..the whole thing, what is Bittorent? how does it works? Who created it? The basic knowledge of Bittorent..how to do portforward? How to achieve max speed? What to do with error? Whats the terms mean? and stuff..its the basic thingy someone should learn before using Bittorent to download stuff..
*
i agree that we should make research first before we start bittorrent nod.gif
but about the limit upload will decrease download...
there is no such things except if you use private tracker

QUOTE(zx12 @ Jan 21 2007, 10:52 AM)
ok so which is it?.. coz Akapane says thats the way torrent works.. the more you upload, the more you are allowed to download. But if you think about this, which party is controlling the speed? It will be either application controlled or tracker controlled. The tracker is literally used for tracking, as its name sake. Does it monitor and control peer's downloading and uploading speed? So if its not the tracker, then its the client software? If thats the case, why would we want to use a software that limits our connection speeds to other peers? There must be a software out there that are restriction free, right?  rclxub.gif

Torrent gurus out there, please help.
*
1st, you have to know that the speed is also control by your line
that mean 512k is impossible to go more than 64kBps

then, go to below website

my answer will be
try another bt client...

now my pc got BitComet, µTorrent, and Tuotu
but i havent try µTorrent and Tuotu for the task i cant download...
i think i still need other bt client as backup...

now trying the µTorrent...
if µTorrent also cant
then no hope, except find someone can do VPN for me (but that also need to pay... doh.gif )

EDIT: same as my BitComet, it run
but with 1 local peer and with very low speed
µTorrent cant let me get other peer...

no i mean i know up speed is upload speed,
i want to know what is upload speed?
does it help us on downloading files?
*
upload speed is the speed you upload the downloaded file
BitTorrent download is not like http download
you must download, and at the same time, upload in BitTorrent
but http download didnt need you upload that downloaded file

eh i dl my thing with 2980 peers why i only get connected with 72-65 peers only.. need to do port forwarding ah???
*
you mean you juz connected with 72 seeder and 65 leecher ONLY??
i cant even have connected more than 200 peer before throttle even that task got more than 2000 peer
there is always a limit for a peer you connected
even you have make the "peer connect limit" to unlimited
but due to our bandwidth limit, there sure will have a limitation

other than portforwarding what else cna you do to increarse d/l speed?

i get 3kbps with 10 international seeds?is that normal? sweat.gif
*
of coz normal
becoz tmnuts had throttle international peer connection

but if you got local peer and the download speed still low...
it is either that your configuration problem or maybe he/she dun want to share...

of coz la
the "throttle" is not becoz of the modem/router
it did by those nuts!!! doh.gif

please go to the "Broadband User-2-User" subboard for more info

how come my log there say unable to map uPnP port? WIll this slow down my download?
*
are you using bridging mode to online??
if yes, then it is normal

the upnp port mapping is juz for routing mode (auto connect)

change router or modem??
got other way to solve?? wink.gif
*
it suppose to be router modem... sweat.gif
the router/modem that can do bridging and routing mode connection or whatever...

usually there is no other way to solve this kind of problem becoz it mean your modem/router cannot support DHT network...
so, you have to change a modem/router that can support it

already running 1w 1d but still Vista x86 didnt complete
*
1M/512kb ??
what package is that?? unsure.gif
you have 1Mbps and 512kbps package together??

dun tell me that the 512kbps is the upload speed becoz in the screwmyx package
1Mbps download speed just have 384kbps upload
only 2M have 512kbps upload
QUOTE(benzene88 @ May 3 2007, 02:18 PM)
i see... whats ur ip?
*
why asking for ip??
for hacking?? tongue.gif

btw, the ip didnt affect more becoz the nuts throttle all now
it mostly base on the peer you connect now

Upstream Data Rate:  512kbps

PPP Connection Status:  Connected

mebi my modem bug.. blush.gif tongue.gif
*
haha laugh.gif
try ask it in the Broadband User 2 User section (i didnt go to there for long time ago tongue.gif )
i think many people also have this kind of "upgrade" aledi
but i dunno how is the speed becoz i didnt have 1536kbps for download and 512kbps for upload

how come some ppl have very fast speed?? mine alys 40-60kBps...is it coz of the port forward  hmm.gif
*
what package you subscribe to??
if it is 512k, then it is fast aledi

but if 1M... then i think it is cause by the peer that you connected
40-60kBps show that you didnt need to do port forward becoz if you didnt do port forward and you connect in routing mode, it is very hard to have this speed

Guys, i've a query over the port forwarding in utorrent. All this while i could port forward without a problem and then im not too sure about wat happen, but ever since i cant port forward. I've tried changing the port no and uninstalling my zone alarm firewall but none could help change the situation.

Its frustrating knowing that before this i could port forward without a problem and now it doesnt seem to be the same anymore, despite trying few steps to ensure a successful port forward.

Is this some kind of throttling by tmnet? Any advice from u guys will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
*
you think your step on portforward got problem??
what kind of problem??
but before these, you had success portforward or not??
the problem you meant is the speed still very low??

quite blur... unsure.gif

no its not my step on portforward tat has problem. Like i mentioned before this i could port forward smoothly and now it shows me the error tat the port is not open. I get this error specifically:

Checking port 45*** on 219.95.***.**...

Error! Port 45*** does not appear to be open.

Got the idea ?
*
hmm.gif
is it firewall problem??
try allow the connection of µTorrent

do you enable the UPnP port mapping??
try disable it (since that you aledi portforward, the UPnP port mapping will be useless)
