Anyone can advise?

Hi guys, i am using mibox 3 and recently just bought a new soundbar for my tv.. Whenever i connect mibox 3 to my tv, my sony tv will have problem communicating with my soundbar (tv speaker will active, soundbar will disconnect)..

The only way to solve this is to keep the mibox remain ON.. If i switch on TV with mibox off, this communication problem will appear again.. This driving me crazy..

After some google search, there are some people having the exact issue but not much solutions..

Anyone here happen to have the same issue??

Make sure cec is switch and sync between both

Mi box S user here. A warning for all owners not to update latest OTA. My box just got bricked. Now I can throw away this box 😭 Searched google this affects certain countries.

Both my boxes updated fine. No issues. Maybe only effects boxes in other regions.

My box I bought from GearBest 3 or 4 yrs ago. Maybe that is the reason.

Are you sure it’s mi box s? Because if I remember correctly, mi box s released in 2019. Before that it’s mi box 3.

And also this is a previous update, not the latest update that was released last week.

Confirm mibox s. I bought it within 1 or 2 months after release. See this theverge post. Released in 2018. And I just went into settings and check for update. It show me an update and I press install. I didn't even look at the build number because all these while I update just fine. Who knows this time it will brick my device. After the update just searched google for issue. Now I can't even turn it on to see which update version.

Hi, newbie here and would like to seek some advice on my Mi Box that i bought sometime back.

I bought the Mi Box 4 ( the seller post it as 小米盒子4 终极越狱版) with the package to watch Astro etc in end 2018. But recently I am not able to watch any of the program any more, I suspect the server was shut down and the seller is also gone and not responding to my message.

I search around the net and found other package such as SyberTV and IPTV. Anyone using it? Is it good and I can watch movie as well as channel from Taiwan, HK & Korea? Appreciate your feedback and recommendation!!


The Mi Box that I am having is the China version, is there a way to change or install the International/Global version? What is required for me to do that?

Requires several DRM features which do not exist on Chinese market MiBox 4, nor is there any means of a workaround
