Hi, want to ask if I plan to buy a mi Box for Astro Go, China version will not work? Only international version with Play Store will work?

I have the international version... but cannot download Astro On The Go from the playstore. Guessing need to install manually using APK files.

Anyone here with a working method for Astro On The Go for MiBox?

Hello Guys, is Mi Box 3 still worth it if buy in 2018?

Still usable in 2018. Though there is new mibox 4 but international version not ready yet in short term I guess. Yet it still based on Android 6 same as mibox 3. Just abit of hardware enhancement .

I have had my mibox for like 6 months which i bought from lazada. At the moment the only thing i do is install kodi and use exodus but i dont watch too much on exodus and it is not realiable as most sources are missing already.

What i want to do with the mibox is to watch chinese, korean drama, english movies and also live sports. Any app that you would recommend?

May i know China version of MI Box can install google play using APK? what the different compare to MY set?

Am waiting for mi box 4, but the spec turn off me.

RSS player for all Asian drama
Terrarium for all English movies and dramas
In Kodi, install Project Cypher or Made In Canada for LoL your sports games and also Icframa for Asian dramas

My parents just somehow bought a MiTV 4 (the tv, not the box) and it is practically useless without play store (managed to sideload some stuff in, but without play services app like Youtube wouldnt work). There also seems to be no chromecast support (or limited support because we could cast photos to the screen, and that's about it).

Does anyone knows how to sideload play services and store in it??!

nah, still needing play services cos planning to subscribe netflix

(wanted to consider a mitv box, but it would be really stupid having 2 identical remotes)

Netflix will be only 480p if the device not certified. Any root device will not be certified as well. Your MiTV is China edition without play store. Your Netflix still only in 480p even you success side load it because the device is still not certified by Netflix.

So if you want Netflix in HD and above, you need to buy Malaysia edition Mi Box or international edition or USA edition. To be safe just buy from Mi official Lazada store.

Btw, what phone you're using to cast to chromecast netflix?
Not quite sure if you still can get hd if you're casting from phone that's not certified for hd netflix

Chromecast Ultra even troublesome to me as you need phone to cast over. If Mi Box or any certified Netflix Android TV Box let you install more apps for example iFlix, Shafa, Terranium, YouTube, Vimeo and many more which you can't do at your Mi TV.

Remote identical just label one of it. Done.

lol everyone at home has a smartphone, and my sister and I are prolly the only person gonna stream netflix
Also you can actually stream youtube, spotify, or other services as long as they have some sort of web version
the shared computer is not too far away from the tv

chromecast ultra does 4k, and the content go straight through the chromecast dongle
the smartphone (or computer) is actually more a remote control there lol
(there is one in the office i work in, yea i know what i am saying)
