now here is the wierd thing...

at bios i would have increase the vcore to ~1.515v(mobo maxed out @ 1.615v)
to get the 1.425v @ idle shown by cpu-z
when at load the voltage will drop of ~0.05v

another is the default voltage
when my mobo bios is reset (by taking out the batt)
the vcore is set 1.245 at the bios
but cpu-z 1.38 shows 1.200 max

plus my temp at load now is ~48
and idle @ ~30

will i push it to the MAX!!!
stay tune for

mcchin...i had similar Vdroop problems with the ga-8n-sli...i think the 3 phase power supply on this mobo isnt that good. I alwaysed notice my proc voltage dropped at least 0.05 to 0.15 volts between the idle and on load volts.

Are you running you mem at 1:1 ratio? What kinda 1meg Superpi scores are you getting?

usually i dont use that func...

wait...

I NEVER use that function at all
i will either run at stock (with EIST) or oc it manually

the best so far from this board..

fsb 234mhz, x quad pump = 936 mhz
proc speed = 234 x 15 = 3510 mhz
ram speed = 800 mhz ddr
timing = 5-5-5-15-20 (havent really push far yet)
gc ocing = 665/1740

right now i got like 4-5 fans connected as well as miscelanious stuf
and it feels like bogging down the PSU
if got time will as a secondary PSU to power up the fans

I like this mobo but dont really enjoy it, as it loves to auto restart my Window whenever i turn it on for the first time of the day(after long time off). It might happen for the first 5-15 minutes, either is idle, playing games or listening to MP3s.

When i use the USB, most of the time OK but once in a while it hangs and could crash my Windows. Can say that i need to format my PC 2 or 3 times per month. So it really suck when u have save game than its all gone. cry.gif
No OC. all optimize settings.

Since yesterday i realize to update the BIOS to the latest so far, F6. and see if the problem still persist. Else got to send for Warranty claim.

have to admit
this mobo is not the cream of the crop even during its time
cause gigabyte came out with the better version like pro, quad, royal

so this GA-8N SLi ver1.1 is the bottom feeder of the group
(i noe sad to say , but it is the truth)

but as for you problem
i have yet to encounter any of them

the culprit might as well be ur power supply

have you tried other PSUs?

i use capalang brand before, when this problem occurs, i consider its the PSU problem, so i change to CMaster 450w Real power, it helps a little bit but problem still happens ... rclxub.gif

So far after updating the BIOS, PC running quite healthy. Running PRIME to stress my CPU n RAM for straight 6-8 hours without problem within this 2 days. But i still dont feel safe, using USB is almost a nightmare, hopes no more crash ...

If the system crash again, ill get a new mobo for sure ... many new cool games and i dont want to waste my time playing it over n over again doh.gif ... LOL laugh.gif

i think its because my voltage settings and RAM timings wrong..darn..the RAM timings is at 5-5-5-18, whcih is to CAS-RCD-RP-RAS-RC..but the RC value is 19..which i feel (i may be wrong) makes my system hang when i set it to 4-4-4-12 (default on the RAM)..
