Total War: WARHAMMER is official! Taking the series to a realm of brutal, high fantasy for the first time in its history, our rules have changed and with change comes war on a scale as yet unimagined.

The limitlessly deep and rich universe of Warhammer heralds a new era for Total War. Gigantic monsters, flying creatures, legendary heroes and storms of magical power take their place on the battlefield, alongside thousands of warriors clashing in real-time tactical battles.

In the turn-based campaign game, players will find the Old World an unforgiving and treacherous place, filled with endless war and cunning alliances alike. Whichever race you choose to play as and however you seek conquest, you will be faced with a conflict that threatens to tear the very fabric of reality asunder.

The first in an epic trilogy of titles, Total War: WARHAMMER will deliver hundreds of hours of absorbing gameplay. It will combine with two further standalone instalments and additional content packs to create the single largest Total War experience ever.

As this isn’t just a CA game, regretfully there are no plans to support modding for Total War: Warhammer. An Assembly Kit is will be available very shortly for Total War: ATTILA however, and we will continue to support modding for that title and plan to for future historical Total Wars.

Don't think factions, think races. In Total War: WARHAMMER you’ll have four races to choose from, Greenskins, The Empire, Dwarfs and Vampire Counts. Each race has a legendary lord character ,  who is the leader of a faction within your chosen race.

The races in Warhammer are massively different in variation and content compared to factions we’ve depicted in our games before. Given the huge variety in creatures, characters and machines in the Warhammer world, we’ve decided to go deep rather than wide. We’ll be putting as much unit and content variation as we can into the main game to best represent the incredibly detailed races we’ve chosen first. To compare, ATTILA has 6 model skeletons underlying all the units used in the game (human, horse, elephant, dog,etc). In Total War: WARHAMMER, there’s 24 in the first game alone, each representing a different creature or machine type.

Actually, Warscape is a subsystem of the TW3 Engine that deals with graphics rendering, so what you see graphically on the battlefield. Yes, it is iterated on alongside the rest of the TW3 Engine and the latest version is a part of the technology behind Total War: WARHAMMER.

I'm fine with whatever CA dash out as long as it doesn't mess things up like rome 2 did.

I kind of against it because I was expecting some story driven campaigns with Total War style battles like the old Dark Omen and Shadows of the Horned Rat. This game is also being build on TW3 engine so it'll be more like an open campaign like usual Total Wars.

lets c I hope to see a mix, ala empire shogun 2 story and campaign

I know but my i3 is already old and can already be handed over to my son.  Can't really afford 4th gen i5 so I guess 4th gen i3 la. That 3.60 ghz should be good enough. Hopefully currency will be better so price will be lower in a  few months. I built my rig for Shogun 2. Served 4 games already (S2, FOTS, R2 and Attila). Rome 2 still running fine but Attila certainly need a new rig if I want to keep 30+ fps constant.

In my opinion, besides technical issues which always comes for newly released game (Total War series specifically), much of the butthurt issues especially (at TWC la mostly) was that the people were expecting RTW 2.0 rather than see the game as TWR2 1.0 and since the the game was not what they expected, then the complain. I was a moderator at TWC pre and post release specifically for Rome 2 section, tell you.. A lot of people kena infraction. 

Anyway, sapa nak jadi betatester for my Rome 2 mod sila angkat tangan. There's a TWC link but I can't remember (can't access from office though).

Warhammer ? Dunno. I don't like ETW and NTW much too but spend hundred of hours on those games anyway.

I played it at launch and to my surprise did not ran into any game-breaking bugs many have mentioned.

I hate how they force you dive into pre-purchase with chaos warrior. The only reason I play warhammer in the past is chaos warrior. They rip the most important race out to hold everyone in hostage situation with a pre-purchase deal just so they can gurrentie sales and if the game is a mess they won't care much since money is already gurrentied first.

US law must change to monitor shady and poisonous business practice.

i'll just play for the hype of day1 release and not be bothered with the dlc or maybe the whole game till maybe all 3 exapnsions with all the dlc.

Even Shogun does not create that much impact.

I know chinese have quite a few mods on the totalwar series from waring states to sung to ming
but then again not sure whats the population playing it

well the korean and chinese did a good job in repelling the japanese.

this movie is about one of the battle where the koreans repelled the Japanese invasion and it was very well received in korea. Accutally the highest box office movie till date

I thought China alrdy got 3kingdom  game by Koei /Userjoy .

asd GamesWorkshop dont allow Middle Earth mod for Total Warhammer on workshop, would be nice to see total conversion. anyways hope this game is good

There will be assembly kit and steam workshop for warhammer too.

However, base on SHogun 2 experience, unless you're pro with 3ds max then there's no way you can make a new campaign map for newer total war game. 

oo i'm no modder bro, just thought Rise of Mordor middle earth mod would be nice for this TW game, although these not related to Warhammer IP might have to upload elsewhere. will you be playing this one? i can't seem to get into Warhammer world (and my GPU need upgrading), so still sticking to historical TW.
