Other oem just use same tuya chipset, just stick to the ones you like, probably the build quality or just design

I'd say xiaomi/Aqara device quality is good, I have one live wire only single gang Aqara wall switch, installed 3 years ago and still running fine, other Aqara devices such as neutral and live wire switches are working for many years without failing

I also used Broadlink swtiches, all gone within 2 years. some z-wave switches and sensor, all don't last long, the only last one brands are Xiaomi/Aqara/Sonoff

The only drawback is Xiaomi/Aqara devices are getting more expensive, almost 20-30% increased over past 5 years!

Hi guys, I'm very new to smart home, I apologise if I offended those who think "you should read the threads". I have been trying to crawl through all the threads regarding it but does not find enough opinion of below questions:

I am looking for local region supported (Malaysia) hub, ZigBee switches, with future proof setup in mind. Am I left with Aqara option? I have read one that is Terncy, why less people are using it? Why would one choose to connect China server with their hub?
Does connecting to China server with Xiaomi hub delays the responses? I've heard from my friend, actual user says that connecting with internet speed of 500mbps will not have delay, while 100mbps has. A bit doubt of this, internet speed doesn't affect latency right?

When using Xiaomi hub, Connecting to China server will automatically disable Google home, I would have to connect thru MiHome app on Android. If I would to connect Malaysia region, I will have the option right?

Yes, I’ve ruled out coverage because the router and raspberry pi (with zigbee coordinator) is just outside my room. Full 2.4ghz and 5ghz signal also

I’ve got zigbee door sensor & motion sensor in the bathroom also (where the 20a switch is installed) and detected just fine. Right next to the 20a switch is a sonoff wifi module 2 way switch and still online (this one no neutral, using capacitor type)

How to check that?

I gave up and just reinstall back old switch + magic switcbot installed. Installed the  zigbee switch for another 20a (aircon) also in same room and wifi 20a switch in another bathroom. Both still working fine and no disconnection since the past week

I suspect it could be wiring but I’m just gonna stop there and stop headache over this 😬

On, off, just like switchbot

The Switchbot uses double-sided tape and some plastic (I think) string that you stick onto the switch itself. So the arm can press the switch to turn on and pull on it to turn off.

I recently bought Broadlink TC2 for my light and fan.

The light is working properly but for the fan it is not turning even when the TC2 is on with light.

Anyone can recommend solution for this?

I hv the one I referred to, btw for some reason or other, cant use normal or alkaline AAA batts, only rechargeable ones, not sure why.
