Google Home vs Alexa, which is better home settings in Malaysia?

I'm looking for smart switches which support google home/alexa. I quite confused why these smart wall switch need bulit-in battery and only can tahan for 2 years? Does any smart switch can direct power without these coin battery?

Hmm.. really quite confused. Those actions like "sending google/alexa voice cmd to turn on the switch" &  "maintain wireless connection between switch"
Such operations required with battery?

Bought the new PCB board and replaced it.

Any Alexa users here finding her acting a bit weird over the past week?

I have light groups that Alexa will inconveniently miss out on one or two lights randomly.

And as of this morning, she can't control my Tuya blind motor anymore. Don't think it's a Smart Life thing because my lights are Yeelight.

Routines that dim my lights over time also aren't working properly.

The newer Zigbee switches dont need capacitors, have option to not connect neutral if none present,  I bought a few but havent tried so cant comment further, anyone here tried?

Aqara china can link to mihome apps (mainland & international version)
i use Aqara which link to mihome and TUYA. whereby tuya can link to mihome too. 

yeah.

there is a setting in xiaomi mihome apps which allow you to link 3rd party apps such as TUYA.

If it wasn't for cost, I would totally choose Aqara over Tuya just because of HomeKit support and personally I think Aqara has nicer switches. If only they (and Xiaomi) weren't so strict about regions.

Any recommendations for curtain besides Aqara & Terncy.

Both don't look good to me as the origin of their curtain motor not known especially Aqara, typical xiaomi nak sapu semua and oem semua.
