LOL. Aqara Hub cannot be used with Aqara app. Trust Xiaomi to screw it up. Do you have a link to where that photo was posted?

Mine is the one with the box on the left. Purchased 27/11/18.

No worries, thanks for the screenshot.

In Nov last year an update to MiHome enabled it to work with Homekit. I use it now instead of Aqara app. Has more features especially the history graphs which the Aqara app doesn't have. A later update gave Mi Home Siri Shortcuts support so it's quite good. Use Homekit or Siri to control Aqara devices and Siri Shortcuts to control Mijia devices. I have a few Mijia devices which aren't exposed to Homekit.

Found the post where that photo came from.

I guess the left one is the Intl version (as far as Korea anyway) and the right one is the local CN version. There's actually another Aqara product that doesn't work with the Aqara app. That's the Aqara Smart IP camera/gateway. Nice big Aqara branding but only pairs to MiHome.

Btw, do you read Chinese? What do the words in the triangle say?

I think there are many more Aqara devices that can’t pair to Aqara APP or HomeKit yet.
Sorry can’t read Chinese. Dunno why the need to make so many versions of the hub. Can’t be cost.
Even the HK mijia hub cannot be use in China server. Don’t understand why they did that

Just ordered the Mi Bedside Lamp 2 from Shopee. First(?) Yeelight product that's works with Homekit.

Update: Received it from local seller. Setup is like 3 mins. Pair with Mi Home and Homekit. It’ll automatically appear in Yeelight.

Hopefully maybe more Yeelight products will be HomeKit compatible.

I’m fully Apple HomeKit bar one Mijia wifi plug. Using motion, contact, vibration, smoke, water sensors; light switches, plugs, led bulbs and strips.

My friend uses Alexa with Philips Hue bridge, bulbs and Bluesound multi room speakers + Echo Dots but no light switches nor sensors.

QUOTE(Fubar20 @ Feb 22 2019, 06:12 PM)
Need to check what brand you going for the 4 items.
If choose Xiaomi, then go the Siri path.
If choose other brands, make sure got support for Alexa or Google Home.
Have fun.  thumbup.gif

Xiaomi stuff can control using siri? me and my wife are using ios that would be great.. can i only control xiaomi stuff(including all those led bed lamp, curtain bind etc) with siri itself without 小米小爱同学? Does the xiaomi you mentioned including aqara product??

List i want to do,
1) smart switch for lighting/fans
2) smart plug for some elctronics
3) smart switch/plug for air con
4) motion sensor lights on walk path
5) curtain bind

can all those my wish list to be done with only single smart home assistant?

You mean a 3 pin smart plug? Don't think Xiaomi make those. Can try use a Tuya based 3 pin smart plug with energy monitoring below RM50.

I have zero Xiaomi products except my phone. biggrin.gif
I think most of those in your list can be controlled with Siri. The Xiaomi experts will point you the right way.

Thanks. First time I’ve heard of it. Interesting product.

For UK plugs, I have Belkin Wemo. Does not work with HomeKit unless I buy the Wemo HomeKit bridge. No plans to do that. Sonoff has U.K. plugs. They can work with HomeKit with 3rd party software.

My stuff are Xiaomi, Aqara and Koogeek. The HomeKit compatible ones. Except one Mi Wifi plug which I bought wrongly. Can still make it work with Siri Shortcuts and the Mi Home app.

Haven’t looked at them seriously but planning to do so. Home Assistant, Homebridge, Domoticz, IOBroker, etc. The disadvantage is that unless you already have a server in your house, you’ll need to buy one to run it 24/7. Maybe a Raspberry Pi or something low powered.

Also read that Sonoff may support Homekit soon but don’t hold your breath. It’s been months. Search Ewelink’s Twitter for tweets hinting that. Also custom Sonoff firmware that works with HomeKit.

Sidenote: Aqara AC Controller shipped from China. Not sure yet what I’m going to do with this.

No because currently I don’t have any Sonoff products. Have plans to look at them since by far they’re the most affordable.

Ya lor, have to use adaptor. But what do you want to use it for? Myself so far, I only use one Koogeek smart plug for my stand fan. It's EU plug some more.
