Hi, the aqara switch are meant for China region, because tried to reset and detect using Malaysian /Singapore region, but it was not detected

It’s quite to install hass, just flash into sdcard, plug in it rpi and you’re good to go
I’d recommend for you to keep the mi gateway at least, since there’s a cheap diy hack using aqara door sensor which you can set as presence sensor on your bed or chair.
Useful to determine people in the room to keep your lights/fan/ac to on/off if they enter/exit

I would't call it perfect but it's easy to implement
There's several methods (load sensor, pressure sensor with esp32) all cheap but aqara main benefit is the battery can last for a long time (i still haven't change mine)

Hey, I something similar in my office for the 1HP York Aircond however, it didn't worked as well. I thought it's the York IR receiver spoilt..

FYI - currently the york aircond is controlled by the 24hr timer... we wanted to make it smart i.e.

MON-FRI - on @ 6PM - 9AM
Weekend/Puc Holiday - on 24hr

but the aircond would not accept the IR blaster signal.

Is it suitable? because the original is 30A, the one I bought is 20A.

Another question is, the 20A smart switch requires L1, L2, N1, N2.
The original switch has L1, L2, N1, N2 and Earth.
