Anyone tried integrating tuya Smart camera into home assistant?
I know there’s Tuya addon for their smart devices but doesn’t look like there’s much update for the camera

Is there a reason why they don’t include those features right away like other companies like hikvision/foscam who’s been doing it for ages?

Just curious since wanna try out amazon rekognition/doods with ip camera integration

Any recommendation based on your experience? Which is easier to work with? Interested to integrate with Home Assistant.. Later maybe opensource NVR. Currently using 2 Yi camera. Beside the app (human detection notification), I use Google hub to see the camera..

For smart switches:
Wifi type
1) no need hub
2) requires neutral wire but some don’t (ask seller first) with addition of capacitor

Zigbee type
1) requires hub
2) no neutral wire or with neutral

Brand:
1) sonoff
2) tuya
3) xiaomi
3) others got but these 3 above are mostly sold here

Which one to pick?
1) if you plan to do automation (trigger motion to activate lights etc) then better stick same brand (controlled by same app)
2) can’t just mix and match?
a. Can but you’ll need something like homeassistant/node red for devices from different brand to communicate with each other
b.Needs more exploring since some coding for the configuration but easy to learn
c. Some flashing firmware/soldering maybe involved but good thing there’s sonoff/tuya component available now

Fire OS tablets quite locked down tho, I did look at that as there was a deal for Fire HD 10, I am looking at Lenovo M10 with the dock for Alexa, would be a like for like replacement of the echo show.

Hi I was advised by my ID that I'd need about 50+ downlights for my smart home, but my lights seller told me it would be router sudoku if i were to buy direct wireless downlights like the Tuya Smart Wifi light as it would be 50+ IP's for the router to control

He then suggested for me to use lights with Zigbee 3.0 instead, but i can't really find much info about them? Is there anyone using Zigbee RGB downlights in their homes and which model and brand they're using now? Sorry no Hue cause it's way overpriced
