QUOTE(adamw @ Sep 13 2020, 03:51 PM) Oops, after my 5th attempt to buy @shopee, my sonoff dongle finally landed @shah alam. Please update more on this issue so I don't have to waste too much time. Do you already have home assistant running? If you do then youre probably fine. I legit dont know what happened to mine, that was on the raspberry pi running raspbian so HA was in a docker, was still running Homebridge and my Unifi Controller. I might move everything to my windows PC and sell my PI. Right now i have started a new HA in windows using virtual box and i have done the duck dns stuff so ill see how this goes. I guess its better to have 1 main device always running than having my Plex server PC running for 12 hours and my PI running 24/7. |

QUOTE(mintgadget @ Sep 13 2020, 08:50 PM) wow one pi do so many task. can handle ah? home assistant should have a dedicated pi, homebridge on another pi and unifi controller and plex on nas. I mean its Pi 4 with 2 or 4Gb cant remember which. Either way i have already moved homebridge and homeasistant onto my plex server pc, kinda sick of dealing with the PI. |

QUOTE(adamw @ Sep 13 2020, 11:22 PM) https://shopee.com.my/Amazon-Echo-Show-8-HD...9432.6147937010Its around 100 use on Amazon, but I got it for around 360 during 9.9 sale. So far I have been using it for a couple of days, not bad. Main reason I wanted it is for viewing my gate camera, and the rest are just bonus. I have just managed to control my HomeKit devices through Alexa and Siri, using dummy switches. Will be playing with those Alexa actionable notifications once I have set up all the dummy switches for automation. |

QUOTE(LovelyPotato @ Sep 15 2020, 08:05 AM) Hi, I'm looking around for a all in one smart doorlock+camera+doorbell package that can connect with homekit but doesn't seems to find any good one. So I'm currently looking at the Aqara doorlock + a separate doorbell+camera setup. I think right now there isn’t a great solution yet. Get a regular doorbell and put a esp8266 relay in it, use mqtthings and it can alert you that way, camera maybe you can use Eufy cam 2c ?I found a Xiaomi Doorbell Mijia video intercom but I'm not sure if it's homekit compatible as well as I saw reviews on reddit that it's battery usage are quite bad. Is there any other recommendation for doorbell+camera setup that can connect with homekit (or homebridge/hoobs if no first party support)? Budget is MYR150-500. Or should I just get a normal doorbell + aqara G2H better? |

Hue Outdoor Motion Sensor looks like it would be perfect for me other than the fact that I will also need a hue hub LOL and both the sensor and hub aint cheap.

QUOTE(cablesguy @ Sep 17 2020, 07:34 PM) Touch wood, so far, it lights up all the time, battery is still +-90%. I bought 2, 1 dimpled one which works and another smooth round one, can't connect to the network, and since I kept awhile after receiving, the vendor refused to take it back plus no refund. Same goes one of the 20a switch, works but won't connect to wifi, my advise is to connect asap. who you bought from? |

Anyone got wire Shelly 1 before? I am quite confused, I thought it be similar to Sonoff Mini.
There is O,I,SW,L,N N is neutral, L is live so I take the live wire from the switch to that right? The rest is kinda confusing LOL |

QUOTE(adamw @ Sep 23 2020, 04:31 PM) Its just one of those smart switches but you place it into the back of the current switch rather than replacing the whole switch. I think i figured it out, i will update once i have wired it. |
