I saw water sensor , actually what is the purpose when you put at sinki

this thing saved me a few times already. Warned me that my bidet hose is leaking. I put them near the drain holes in the bathroom. I also put at one my window ledge, cause when it rain, sometimes the water can come in. Warn me to close the window.

The sensor is a tiny little device, you just place it where you expect water leakage
