Ooooo, that was something I didn't think about. Because to me it seems more practical to just turn off one switch instead of multiple switches for just one room.
Can still use multiple switches but do zoning. Group them together as a zone. Which product hv this features?
Do you install the rm plugin on your phone or tablet/android box? Which is more stable more? I do notice sometimes you need to restart the rm plugin app on my phone when alexa can't detect new devices/not responding to command
I only trial n off them, coz plan to setup later at new house but not so soon.
I reuse 1st generation galaxy tab that i abandoned
Why you guys sound like so difficult for a smart home?
I thought nowaday is pretty easy to install and operate ?
It is mayb broadlink by china, smartthing by korean, echo dot by amazon american, they have own ego. 😂 They dont communicate & we need to work around for them to put together.
after another few months of waiting time, I finally received the new metal spool wheel for my motorized blinds. It works just a bit better than the plastic ones

Did you use your RM Pro to learn it signal? 433Hz or 315Hz?
ya. most taobao IR remote control items or module are compatible with broadlink, to learn, dont really care to check the wave d & most cheap china items dont specify which wave. jz make sure is IR not bluetooth remote

Seems to be a cheaper solution than the more expensive ones from samsung etc
Can try to get something looks nicer. Haha. I initially wana get this kina lock, but too bad my door is too thin to fit. Make sure ur door original hole is compatible, chat with seller to know more. I currently no budget to change to smart lock, but will change it in future
Alexa n broadlink RM pro no need bridged. Alexa smarthome skill hv it. Some say x work but i found it work by select TV n choose any brand n control, then learn new IR control. Only work with IR via tv mode. Not able to control RF or TC2

If you plan to automate existing lights/fan at house you could consider replacing the wall switch with wifi wall switch like sonoff t1 And you'll need to have neutral cabled wired behind the wall switch since it's required for these switches
Google home skills is planned and coming soon, for the moment you can just the app or alexa.
I have broadlink RM pro & S1 system that integrate door magnet sensor & PIR sensor for IFTTT features & link with alexa. Wonder this sonoff or wifi switch, can it work in IFTTT features with any system door magnet sensor, PIR & etc? Does Homeassistant have simple interface to setup own IFTTT without much programming guide? Smartthings hub seems good but expensive accessory. Wonder r all china wifi, zigbee or z-wave accessory compatible with other brand hub like smartthings? Should i get smartthings hub just becoz i wana add xiaomi fire smoke sensor? I will learn to setup homeassistant once i bought a raspberry pi
