QUOTE(blancpain4470 @ Nov 6 2019, 01:43 PM) First the one without neutral are more expensive. Second they are limited in choice especially if you want good looking one. Is this nice enough? BTW I asked my electrician to do a full check on the new house and for my house it is doable to have those with N but I have to relocate the light connection to be the same as the Aircond switch which I will pull the N. Anyway I will search for those without N rather than moving the wires in my DB boxes. But it is definitely doable for my house. For others it be better you consult your electrician if you want to put on those with N. Tuya app |

QUOTE(puddited @ Nov 20 2019, 02:47 PM) Hey, currently renovating my house. I am considering installing smart switches. Any recommendations? My household mostly use apple, so home kit is a plus if not I think google home is ok. If can better pull neutral, without tends to give more issues later on.Smart switch need to install neutral wire or not? |

Any idea which gas detector can be used for our kitchen gas tank? I found one can support CO/CH4 but I don't think CH4 is correct. CO not much use for us here in Malaysia.

QUOTE(y4ng @ Dec 2 2019, 08:50 PM) Thanks for the detailed summary, I started with Xiaomi and mijia 2018/2019, and lucky me it is aqara based. Will invest in a homekit cos china server really laggy sometimes for mijia hub. Bought google mini cos black Friday, will reach my yellow porter by Christmas You did not consider using BuyAndShip? Seems cheaper & faster and no need pay US duty. Only worried MY will need Sirim+Tax.This post has been edited by adamw: Dec 3 2019, 12:11 PM |

QUOTE(idoblu @ Dec 4 2019, 03:41 PM) Boss, it’s possible that your iPhone is set to using 5Ghz. Remember your Sonoff is using 2.4Ghz 2.4GHz only for setting up, once done using 5GHz is ok because same Lan segment.Set your phone’s wifi to connect to 2.4ghz and try again. QUOTE(idoblu @ Dec 4 2019, 08:46 PM) yes, once connected to 2.4GHz, it will work even when your phone is 5GHz but when using LAN mode, it must be the exact same SSID as the Sonoff during initial setup which is 2.4GHz Then I think Geeklink is better, it can connect as LAN as long as same gateway, can also control direct from the dashboard as normal.take a look at this screenshot When my phone is connected to 5GHz, it cannot connect to Sonoff's LAN mode ![]() Once I switch to 2.4GHz, the LAN symbol will appear (red box) ![]() But you still cant On/Off at the above page but need to select the individual Sonoff (see next screenshot) Only at this page you can On/Off your Sonoff ![]() All Sonoff are 2.4Ghz. Dont think there are any using 5Ghz. Anyway I am talking about your smartphone wifi connection. It must be the same SSID as your Sonoff during initial setup in order to work in LAN mode Maybe mine is different I dunno, but this is what Im seeing on my end |
