it's single L wire going to both lamps.
i am hesitant to install hidden-type smart switch immediately under the  hanging lamp's "cup", because if anything goes wrong, i will not be able to fix it or reset without taking apart the lamp.

that's why i was thinking if there is a device that can toggle state both-left-or-right just by seitching on-off-on-off. like the ceiling fan's lighting with 3 different K colour, i just need to switch its light off-on to change to next colour.
*
Can't do without some rewiring..
But doable if can get rewired .. u have to separate the 2 light L wiring into this device.

Get this remote light switch.. this 1 have the toggle² that u need.. it will alternate between 2 light and also light both (using on off toggle at switch) plus u get to control using the rf remote too..

Im using 2way and 3way in my bedrooms.

Not too familiar with smart switches and hoping to get some advice here. Currently thinking of getting the Sonoff Switchman M5 for the whole house.

1. Are there any issues with wifi clogging up or lag if there are too many switches connected?
2. There isn't a 20A switch, was wondering if there is a workaround for this?
3. Planning to install a DCMoto auto gate and was wondering if there is any way to connect it to the switch?

And lastly hope to get some feedback or sharing of issues or benefits from anyone using the Sonoff Switchman M5, thank you!!
*
For sonoff Switchman M5, u'll need Neutral cable available switch point.
M5 requires neutral to function.

Our local electrical cabling/wiring doesn't have neutral at switch points.

bought a few MOES "16A Zigbee UK wall socket". Just got around to have it installed during recent CNY weekend and last weekend.

Strike 1 - apparently it is only in 13A, description is hoax.

Strike 2 - it only switch on briefly when initially supplied with power. it will switch off a few seconds after, never to come back again until next power recycle. (so i need to play with MCB just to see that few seconds of blip.) I put a desk lamp as load; it never lights up even when appearing switched on (briefly) through Smart Life.

Strike 3 - the Shopee seller is not responding quickly and actively over our 3 days of engagement. I think later he will even question the colour of the wire in my mock proof-of-concept to demonstrate the issue. Or, why I am not installing it in the wall.
*
description most of the time usually like that.. over rated..

not sure about moes/tuya zigbee wallsocket, but im using sonoff one. need to set the incoming power on mode; off/on/previous

Update:

And just for completing information, I also have MOES Wifi UK wall sockets (working fine so far at voltage around 256V) and not-MOES Zigbee UK round plugs (still working even at 259V).

I am trying to see if the vendor can get it configured(?) to go higher to 260V. Reading online suggest that EU people actually have same issue with Zigbee UK round plug shutting off at 250V, so they somehow got it reconfigured to go up to 263V per some EU countries's voltage range.

mine (sonoff) still working in access of 260v. my house voltage also not stable, it hovers at 250v but sometimes at 240v till 261v.

LOL... the latest turn of event is ... frustrating.
Final. Give up on getting help from seller.
No more MOES - the whole brand not just this seller - for me after this, and not just the Zigbee UK wall socket. In fact, one of the key reason I tolerated their expensive socket is due to the 16A rating (Wifi is 16A rating, Zigbee apparently only 13A). The others are selling either 13A or 10A actually.

the seller basically blames me for not complying with the Voltage spec of the MOES Zigbee UK wall socket before buying. Like this can also twist and turn to avoid responsibility. Touche.

Of course, ALL US BUYERS KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IS OUR RESIDENTIAL VOLTAGE BEFORE BUYING THIS, RIGHT? /sarcasm

No experience much with pump
I have seen people using 20a switch + contactor + smart relay
As for your case, you could add something like sonoff powr2 for power monitoring with that setup

Bro, since Oltromen Ripot 's switch got fried using with water pump.
Your solution is better for his use?
*
this solution provides (for my family) independent switching.
sometimes when water pressure slow from direct pipe (kitchen/laundry), just can switch ON from wall panel at hall. (tank water pump under roof)
also toggle from switch with water heater at upstairs toilet.

using basic wifi smart switch also can.. just wired it to power the contactor.. the contactor then complete the circuit supply direct from mains/DB.

Oltromen Ripot problem i think came from the devices.. as he said in "off" position it burns.. either voltage spike or the component itself failing.. can try by replacing the burn components.
looks like failed caps, varistor, resistor.

ehh actually my water pump always ON.
never switch off...

do we really need to switch it off?  haha
*
Depends on ur configuration or usage.
My house just use for shower and laundry.. low pressure from tank.

I prefer to switch off, as any water use (tap/flush) will run the pump if left on.

Btw, im using inverter water pump.

Aiseh... #4 of wifi socket to be "blown". Again, it's the one connected to water pump for watering plants.

I was about to take picture and ask if there is anything wrong with the supposedly good-looking resistor when I saw what exactly is wrong with it.

Always the resistor and the blue thing next to it (but this time the blue thing appears okay). Bad batch quality? Don't know.

Both ur smart socket blown by powering the water plant pump?

I honestly don't know why it is always this particular socket connected to pump that will malfunction.
The pump is just odd 65W.
Weekend home. I have it on smart wall plug so that I can have it activated both time-based and manually as necessary.
*
Might be ur pump pulling more current, or using with pump/motor/inductive devices, mess up the power supply module on the smart plugs.

As i know, motor/inductive is not suitable for some smart switch or plug.

QUOTE(epicure @ Mar 8 2023, 01:59 PM)
Question 1 :-

I have the Daikin airconditioners that have wifi built in. The type that uses the Daikin Go app. The app brings the aircon units to Google Home and alexa.

Does anyone know how to bring them into Homekit? I have tried so many Homebridge plugins.. but non of them work for the wifi adapter that we have here in malaysia. The ones that are overseas, the wifi adapter name starts with B, and ours here starts with A, specifically the AWM61A01.

And since i dont have (and dont intend to use) home assistant due to no extra raspberry Pi available (and also HA spooks me, haha), what other methods or plugins can i use to bring these Daikin units into Homekit?
Question 2:-

I have a Vivos Alarm system. Comes with the alarm panel, network interface module to use the vivos app remotely and the several sensors and siren connected via cables.

Does anyone know if this alarm system can be linked to Google Home or Homekit? This brand vivos is a malaysian brand... their app is pretty barebones. Would be nice to be able to integrate into either google home or homekit for automations.
My Homekit setup is pretty complete.. Aqara (natively), Sony TV (natively), Do Home (natively) , Sonoff + Ewelink (via homebridge), Tuya (via homebridge), xiaomi (via homebridge) , imou + Dahua (via homebridge), samsung (via homebridge).

All thats left is my Daikin Aircons... and my Vivos alarm system.

Any idea guys?
*
even with HA, our local Daikin AC cant be integrated into it. nobody creating integration for it, or maybe difficult or daikin doenst release the wifi encryption (something like that)

I got no idea, I shall take more photos from different angle and ask again.
It's a 2 gang wall switch.
*
There's no Neutral on that switch box.
in common wiring (local here/Malaysia) practice, coloured cable is Live usually. Neutral will be black.

all the 'looping' in one terminal is Live source from supply DB or from another looping in another switch nearby.

Thank you for clarification. Can I loop with Aqara Smart switch?
*
Can use any smart switch as long as no Neutral needed.
'No Neutral' smart switch some models need 'bypass' capacitor install at load.

Hi all, wondering whether those regulator ceiling fan can be connected to Aqara h1 light switch as on off switch? I tried to connect it but it seemed like disable the whole switch. When I remove the fan, it seemed fine.
*
Not recommended to use with regulator fan.
Induction load always kacau with non Neutral switch.
Else u need to use 2 gang type, 1st gang for resistive load, 2nd gang maybe can be use with fan.

Btw im not sure those Aqara type switch, as i mainly use sonoff switch.
Aqara need capacitor bypass?

Thanks for your reply Max!

I am currently using 2 gang type with neutral switch so I think there won't be needing any capacitor.

So I should try to interchange the 1st gang and 2nd gang wiring?
Thanks for reply celciuz, I am using aqara 2 gang with neutral. Would it be still suitable for regulator fan?
*
i see.
maybe u can try interchange 1st.
usually Neutral type should be no problem.. but need to see if aqara using relay or triac for turning on/off.

some smart switch also abit sensitive to voltage drop/spike. it will power cycle itself.

Correct, i never understand why got several version of ha installation when supervised installation is the definite one since got HACS for more custom components.
Sure no addons on the docker?
*
Because at 1st it was contributer/ community support.
Everyone (contributer) trying to install it in many ways/machine/platform.
If something failed, the community cannot find the original contributer or it was abandoned.

Now HA only support several installation method and supervised is the recommended one with support.
