My little devil just 'destroy' a box which we stored Soya Bean drinks during midnight.
Anyhow, she did drink it. But small portion I think. Just want to know is good or bad for dog drink soya bean? AND, any side effect? Because I saw not far away from the 'crime scene' got 2 spots of her yellow bile that she vomitted. I suspect can be due to the paper box she destroyed and eat it, OR the soya bean.

can schnauzers stay in condos? im looking for a toy sized dog that i can sneak in /out for walks. prefereably infrequent barkers. any recommendations?
*
U can try shih tsu or maltese lo. Cos they are not too active. But i'll advice u not to take silky terrier. Cos OMG, it's very very active. Scared it get too active, very hard to sneak out. heheh

Hi everybody ! smile.gif

I owned a MS too. Her name is Carla now bout 20 months old. Got her from a show breeder. Both her parents are Msian Champ an originated from Brazilian show line. Anyway I don't have chance to show my Carla bcoz in order to join show MS coat must be hand pluck. unsure.gif

For me, MS is a great dog, very alert and intelligent. They will bark when they sense somethings like stranger, mouse, lizard so they make a good watch dog too. This excessive barking are something quite annoying but I get used to it oredi. sweat.gif

The most difficult part of owning a MS I think is grooming. So u guys do your own grooming or send to pet groomer ? icon_rolleyes.gif

There will usually be a good number of MS there as one of the puppy dot com 'kaki' is a huge MS fan
The park gets quite muddy if there's rain the day b4 so you will have to dress accordingly (jeans & sport shoes)
For your furkid a leash, water bottle and some small plastic bags to pick up his pooh.

MS will never shed their fur. It just gets lighter as they age. I too have a silver MS, she's considearbly 'whiter' now than when she was younger. I've seen a pure white MS once around Damansara (no, not a maltese with a schnauzer cut)
Check your furkid for nicks and cuts after you get her back from the groomer, especially around the ears. Never hurts to be careful.

If your furkid hasn't had his/her third shot yet, please don't bring him/her along. With the amount of furkids there, imagine the amount of germs floating around.
Go empty handed if you have to, and go bug all those MS owners for advice.

Blackwood 3000 i'm not too sure if its for adults or not... but it is generally best not to feed puppies adult food. Different diet requirements. For my two MS, I fed them H&F Solid Gold Lamb n Rice Puppy Formula for the first year or so b4 switching to Eagle Pack Holistic Select varieties. Aside from the initial month or two, they've never had any skin problems (touch wood, touch wood).
Food selection varies from dog to dog, so you might have to experiment. California Natural and Canidae are also supposed to be good, but one of my babies get diarrhea whenever I feed them that. Collect samples from pet stores and try first.
There's something called Novacoat which is a kind of oil which you add into their pellets, helps with flakky skin. Don't overuse as its fattening.

Sorry, but I lost the link and the table formatting is lost when I cut and paste.

Items to avoid Reasons to avoid
Alcoholic beverages Can cause intoxication, coma, and death.
Baby food Can contain onion powder, which can be toxic to dogs. (Please see onion below.) Can also result in nutritional deficiencies, if fed in large amounts.
Bones from fish, poultry, or other meat sources Can cause obstruction or laceration of the digestive system.
Cat food Generally too high in protein and fats.
Chocolate, coffee, tea, and other caffeine Contain caffeine, theobromine, or theophylline, which can be toxic and affect the heart and nervous systems.
Citrus oil extracts Can cause vomiting.
Fat trimmings Can cause pancreatitis.
Grapes and raisins Contain an unknown toxin, which can damage the kidneys.
Hops Unknown compound causes panting, increased heart rate, elevated temperature, seizures, and death.
Human vitamin supplements containing iron Can damage the lining of the digestive system and be toxic to the other organs including the liver and kidneys.
Large amounts of liver Can cause Vitamin A toxicity, which affects muscles and bones.
Macadamia nuts Contain an unknown toxin, which can affect the digestive and nervous systems and muscle.
Marijuana Can depress the nervous system, cause vomiting, and changes in the heart rate.
Milk and other dairy products Some adult dogs and cats do not have sufficient amounts of the enzyme lactase, which breaks down the lactose in milk. This can result in diarrhea. Lactose-free milk products are available for pets.
Moldy or spoiled food, garbage Can contain multiple toxins causing vomiting and diarrhea and can also affect other organs.
Mushrooms Can contain toxins, which may affect multiple systems in the body, cause shock, and result in death.
Onions and garlic (raw, cooked, or powder) Contain sulfoxides and disulfides, which can damage red blood cells and cause anemia. Cats are more susceptible than dogs. Garlic is less toxic than onions.
Persimmons Seeds can cause intestinal obstruction and enteritis.
Pits from peaches and plums Can cause obstruction of the digestive tract.
Potato, rhubarb, and tomato leaves; potato and tomato stems Contain oxalates, which can affect the digestive, nervous, and urinary systems. This is more of a problem in livestock.
Raw eggs Contain an enzyme called avidin, which decreases the absorption of biotin (a B vitamin). This can lead to skin and hair coat problems. Raw eggs may also contain Salmonella.
Raw fish Can result in a thiamine (a B vitamin) deficiency leading to loss of appetite, seizures, and in severe cases, death. More common if raw fish is fed regularly.
Salt If eaten in large quantities it may lead to electrolyte imbalances.
String Can become trapped in the digestive system; called a "string foreign body."
Sugary foods Can lead to obesity, dental problems, and possibly diabetes mellitus.
Table scraps (in large amounts) Table scraps are not nutritionally balanced. They should never be more than 10% of the diet. Fat should be trimmed from meat; bones should not be fed.
Tobacco Contains nicotine, which affects the digestive and nervous systems. Can result in rapid heart beat, collapse, coma, and death.
Yeast dough Can expand and produce gas in the digestive system, causing pain and possible rupture of the stomach or intestines.
