sigh .. the problem is with my housemate. Me myself - I'm learning to be more stone-hearted to him now. This morning no one was at home .. all also got exam ma. So, half an hour b4 we all went out, I asked my bf to put him cage, and then i gave him treat and tell him I'm going out soon - be guai. Then my housemate suddenly say "don't larr!!! don't put him in cage lar!! let him walk around in living room lar!" .. i was so angry!! I'm teaching my dog to be independent now and he's like saying that i'm being cruel, etc .. kanasai!!! I didn't choi him but my heart inside was burning!! He only noes how to paly with him and doens't know what is wrong with him. Hepy's main problem is like what everyone's saying - separate anxiety. I want him to learn to be more independent instead of sticking to people like super glue. Sigh.

Yalor. Then when I'm angry and I didn't choi what they say, they say i'm cruel and the dog is so kolian coz I put him in the cage. Personally, i also dun like to cage the dog or put him in playpen. I rather let him roam freely but then now suddenly got his separate anxiety thingy .. sigh .. need to teach him. I dont want it to become a bad habit - very headache in future if become habit.

jootat, I came across this website too - last time before I bought the puppy. Not working for me coz hepy's timing is not accurate. He can jz pee poo whenever he feels like it. Three days ago, he pooped 3 times at different time after his dinner - weird. Why so many poops one .

I just took Hepy out for his 2nd jab just now at SK's St Angel's. Gave him 10-in-1 jab for RM 60. Btwn .. wanna ask something. The vet gave me a deworming pill (1/2 only) and she asked me to give it to Hepy one week later. But last month when I took Hepy to Pets Family for his 1st jab, that vet gave him the pill straight away .. then baru vaccinated him. This vet at St Angel's told me it's not good to give both together at the same time. Which is true ?

ROFLMAO!! Hepy's pee poo training is a hassle. The other day when I put him on the verandah to pee poo on his tray, he noes how to do it and i was so happy about it. I gave him lotsa treats. He did it successfully for 2 days only. After that, he pee poo on the floor - just right next to the tray . Then lately during night tiem when i go zzz, I usualy put the tray behind the door after i close the door ma coz he always go pee poo there when he's in my room. He managed to properly pee poo in the tray. But also lately, he pee in the tray, and poo outisde the tray . I nearly nearly stepped on his poops early in the morning. So, i also dunno how lor.

Oh ya, I'm going back to my hometown this Sunday and Hepy will stay with my bf until 31st May. Then he'll put Hepy at YY's house until i come back. I thought of giving hepy a wholly new environment again and by the time I come back, hopefuly he'll not be so dependent already. I've been searching in the internet for solutions to separation anxiety and one of the method is to abandon him for 2-3 weeks straight at a stranger's place. And YY told me, she will not have much time for the puppy coz she'll be very very busy. Mostly, she'll just lock him up in the cage and maybe play with him at nite with Long Long. See how it goes lor.

Yesterday when I took Hepy for his jab, after the jab, I told the vet I wanna go for lunch and if i can put Hepy there for a while. Then we went out for lunch and went back to pick him up 1 hour later. When my bf entered the place, Hepy barked like sh*t and when my bf opened the cage door, he jumped out from the cage and barked at my bf while retreating just like the other day when he did that to me in my room. Then after my bf passed him to me in the car, I told Hepy "hepy, no...guai ... shhhhh" ... stroke his head and tried to calm him down but he won't stop whining. Stared at us like enemies while whining. Then I got angry and I snapped at him in a loud tone "Hepy!! NOP!"..... he baru stop whining and start to calm down .. wahlau eh

Not sure when she play with Long Long but she will be busy over the next 3 weeks coz she took up some course lor. So, she will not be at home from morning till night. So, should be palying with Long Long at nite only for the next 3 weeks. Might not even have the time to paly with Hepy. But i dun care so mcuh about that - I want Hepy to be at a new place, new environment and start all over agian. I want him to learn to be more independent without us beside him.

jack jack also bark when u leave him alone?? How long have u been keeping jack jack?

Btwn, for me, I always think that it is too late to teach hepy to pee poo at right place. Should teach from the day you brought xun xun home when it's a whole new envirionment for her .. then easier to teach. That's why i'm going to put Hepy at YY's house for 2-3 weeks while I'm gone. Wanna give him a whole new environment again so that when I'm back from holiday, he'll not be as close to me as now. Easier for me to teach him all over again. Now kinda hard to teach coz he's so used to the environment already.

I'm not sure if they complained to management already or not. But they threatened liao lor. If complain to management, i dunno wud will happen coz u're not suppose to keep dogs in condo.

joanalooidog..... Luckily ur Fifi is guai and she doesn't bark. Hepy barks because he has separation anxiety and I can't afford him to bark everytime I leave him behind. Coz I need to go to campus and my classes start at 8 am - too early for Hepy to kacau my housemates and neighbours to wake up.

Nope .. no landing property here. This is cyberjaya ler ... nearest to my Uni is condo. I dun haf transport to go to campus - so, i need to walk there.

Not moving to the townhouse. It's hard to get housemates who don't create troubles for me and townhouse is super hot and expensive.

On music doesnt' help for Hepy. He's highly intelligent and he wants to see got people next to him. I read about turning on music for him in many threads and I tried that before. Doesn't help at all.

No rush. I want Hepy to go to good home only.

I've decided not to sell Hepy. Will continue to keep him. Will just try and solve problems that arised or will arise in the future. Don't have the "heart" to sell him away. Jz brought him for full grooming today at Pets Buddy - the cutting at the face isn't nice coz they trimmed his eyebrow SHORT and they cut his moustache off . I didn't tell them i want to keep the moustache and i thot a standard MS should have long moustache neh. Dunno why they go trim it super short - Hepy looks a bit weird now. But his the cutting on his body is nice. They cut the top part botak and the side part super short and neat. He looks like a monster when I got home just now .

Going to bring him for his 3rd jab this weekend and asked about the neutering thingy. Plan to neuter him before he starts marking .. hehe. Hopefully he won't mark lar .

I also dunno and didn't expect they will cut his moustache short neh!!! I thot the standard look's supposingly to have long moustache neh! Then hor, today when I first saw hepy again, I was so happy that his moustach finally grew and then after the gromming, i was like "where did his moustach go???" Nvm liao. Will just wait for his moustach to grow long again. But overall, da way they trim his body hair is nice and superb. Good Job! .

Wanna ask you regarding the clipper thingy. Last time you asked me to get the RM 200+ one ma. Then today that tauke at pets buddy told me a clipper set costs around RM 400-500 and some even cost up to RM1000. He asked me to get RM 400-500 one . He said the RM200+ one kenot shave the body hair and IF you use that to shave the body hair, you can also shave 3-4 times .. then the clipper will rosak wor . Wud is ur opinion?

he peed on my tilam last nite . Last nite after his dinner, i took him to the tray but he didn't want to pee / poo. Then at around 11 pm something, when I off the light, wanna go zzz ady, he came to my legs. I thot he wanna sleep with me, so i din choi him. Suddenly I heard "shhhhh" very very loud .. i on the light and saw him pee-ing on my bed . Then I lock him in the cage while i cleaned up da mess and he was in the cage whole nite.

then this morning when i woke up, i fed him his breakfast and waited for him to pee poo again and he didn't pee poo. So, i put him in the cage and I put the mouth muzzle (dun wan him to bark) while i go to campus. Jz now when i return, he got pee poo in the cage and he went berserk when he saw me entering the room. He tried barking but kenot bark. So, he whined loudly instead. But whining is better than barking lor. Then when i released him from the cage and took off the mouth muzzle, he went berserk, kept jumping high up on me .

from wud I said here, I'd like to hear you guys' opinion on his toilet training. From his stubborn character, I dun think i'll be able to successfully train him to pee/poo in tray coz he won't pee/poo at all when i'm there. Will it be easier to train him to pee/poo in the cage?? As if after i fed him with his meals, I lock him up in the cage straight away until he pee poo, then i only release him ?? But during day time when i go to campus, i need to lock him in cage too. Will he think that the cage is a prison or wud?? Can give me some advices??

Coudnl't get a clearer picture coz he kept moving - hyper.

Added on June 18, 2007, 9:55 pmhow do i remove his urine smell on my tilam?? Hepy seems to be pee-ing all the time on my tilam these two days. He doesn't pee on the floor anymore coz I cleaned up my room with vinegar as well as his cage. So, instead, he peed on my bed. How do i remove hte smell ?
