wow!!! nice man!! i like the kokutaku blade and the kuang biao hao is definitely one of the best cpen that i knew... it is thin, but powerful!!! apply rubbers to both front and back is just nice, it won't get too thick and the "hand feeling" is very good!! thumbup.gif

your collection..... BEST thumbup.gif

thanks... actually kuang biao hao (h-hao) is a soft feel and slower blade than my other cpen, the Yasaka Extra Offensive (which Ma Lin is using). it's not a bad blade - in fact the h-hao is a very good blade. but i think it's not as good as the YEO or hurricane king (kuang biao wang)

actually RPB is not something new. just that both Ma Lin and Wang Hao were trained by Liu Guoliang to take advantage of it and turn it into an offensive BH. where for Ma Lin, he had to adapt to it over time, Wang Hao was specifically trained to use the RPB as a full offensive stroke.

Can you execute RPB as well?

QUOTE(lanatir @ Oct 31 2008, 12:05 AM)
you are right. a rubber can generally take around 120 hits per spot before it changes characteristic at that spot. imagine if u always hit that spot, your rubber will slowly change. no matter what you do to it, it will change. there is nothing u can do about it even though the rubber can still look shiny and new.

of course not everyone has the luxury to change rubber all the time.

during the speed glue era, where the skilled players used speed glue to reglue the rubber all the time, the rubber would only last 1 month or 2. today tensors with built in glue effect also last only a few months b4 they start to feel different.

RPB? well i only started playing cpen this year. and i've tried a few times to see if i could do RPB properly. firstly my choice of rubber for BH is not so suited to RPB. i chose those rubbers bcos i wanted to try to learn short pips instead. in the end, i decided to play the conventional style as i have greater success with that.

technical stuff? just read a lot only. skill still just as lousy blush.gif

wah haha the senkoh Z now cannot get already bcos it has been discontinued. i changed the rubber on it to Bryce FX in May 2008 but hardly use the blade nowadays bcos i use my KKT. about 10 yrs ago, i bought it at Lucky Sports Pertama Complex from the owner Tay Tong Kee (former national no 1). i remember a few years back i went back to him and he was telling me where i got it (bcos he forgot i bought it from him). he told me that the hinoki used for the senkoh series back then used to be better.

in any case, any senkoh blade from butterfly uses single ply hinoki (not the best grade) and used to be the dream blades for many students (i believe the chinese name is shang kuang ban).

to tell you the truth, i'm not specifically looking to sell this blade bcos it has fond memories for me... but i'll let you know if i decide to ok? thanks for asking smile.gif

generally using butterfly free chack should be ok. gluing is generally free at most shops.

on another note, tensor rubber is advised to be attached with VOC free glue.
