there's 2 versions of this one.

one is Bty Kiso Hinoki V and the other is All Hinoki 5

the latter is the newer version to replace the former (iirc)

Just checked my bat. I think the blade is still ok (at least it is still in one piece). About the rubber, can't really tell until I use it. If really start playing again, I think need to change. Thinking about Tackifire C Soft Rubber. Anyone have experience about it?

But first really need to find a place and someone to play with. Chrisling can join you or not?

hello... i used tackifire C (soft) before, but it does not really soft. in fact in is quite hard. i means the sponge. harder than tackifire special (soft). but tackifire special (soft)'s hardness is still acceptable, at least foe me. erm... tackifire c is really very very tacky, and its control is very good. it can produce lower and shorter balls when you returning the balls.  thumbup.gif  by the way, its super tacky surface allows you to make better spinning for the balls!!  rclxms.gif  you will have feeling like china rubber as mos of them are tacky one.  smile.gif  i think that sponge is not high tension sponge, so that you need to use your own strength. and required your wrist and waist's strength at the same time.. if you used to hard sponge rubber, this is surely an excellent rubber for you.

well said. you good at spins as well?

I'm handshake user sad.gif So sad. By the way, I don't like carbon blade also. I love spin, rather than fast attack with less power ball. I love to see people block my high spin ball and the ball reflects to other way instead of they stunned there because of high speed ball. Hehehe...

speed is normally achieved via a few factors. not only the choice of rubber and blade is important, it is also technique. it is important to not only employ the correct arm swing but also put your waist into it with the correct stance especially crucial with topspin balls during drives and loops.

are u asking if the choice of blade only affects smashes? if that's the case then the answer is no. the choice of blade decides on rebound and dwell time as we have discussed earlier. this also contributes to the speed of the ball. also the point of contact will help with speed especially on the sweet spot of any blade.

one more thing, the composition of the blade is only taken into account in strokes where the ball presses against the sponge enough for it to 'hit' the blade. if your stroke only grazes the ball at a certain angle and the sponge is hard enough to prevent the ball from hitting the blade, then the composition of the blade is not much of a factor

oh...... nice ncie rclxms.gif erm... i hit the ball during the highest point (normally), and usually hit the sweetspot. erm.... my problem is my arm... too stiff!!! haih.... play like a robot, that's always air ball... hehe.... erm.... I'm pendholder, using Cypress S with tackifire special (soft). the blade is powerful, fast speed, soft feeling and good control... i tried Donic F1 b4, balls become spiny and fast!!! but less in control.. now tackifire special (soft), good control, spiny, but very slow........... advice pls.. notworthy.gif
