QUOTE(attw @ Apr 11 2015, 10:11 AM) For me it's just work and web browsing, but I'd like to have dual boot option with Windows 8. Is 4GB RAM and 128GB sufficient? QUOTE(NoKusshon @ Apr 11 2015, 01:42 PM) Hmm, first of all you will need at least 50gb space to dual boots. 2nd, with 4gb ram it's quite okay, but if can upgrade the ram No idea about Windows 8, but for Windows 7, the minimum is 25GB (assuming you disable hibernation, you don't install too many programs and updates, and you set virtual memory to 0). But if you really need Windows on your Mac, 256GB is recommended. As for the RAM, 4GB is OK based on your usage.

Reviews online mentioning that its quite a big jump on the juices from 1.1ghz to 1.2ghz. No review yet on the 1.3ghz as its a built to order. Assuming the jump from 1.1ghz to 1.2ghz (roughly producing the same juices as the MB air 2014 model), i expect quite a big jump if u take the 1.3ghz. I feel that i should upgrade the essentials e.g. hard disk & processor as i am gonna have this last for easily another 5-6 years like my current MBP.. New macs does not allow any upgrades, unlike previous gen whereby we can upgrade the ram & hdd ourselves. I don't want my machine to be rendered outdates & useless in 3 years time and having to spend another RM5-6k on another machine just because i wanted to save the extra RM1k now. Having said that, its your choice bro http://www.macrumors.com/2015/04/13/1-2-gh...book-geekbench/QUOTE(art6969 @ Apr 14 2015, 12:26 PM) Stuck on decision to upgrade processor from 1.1 to 1.3 This post has been edited by hsiengloong: Apr 14 2015, 02:19 PM

benchmark itself cant really tell the whole story. Anandtech already review on Core M, temperature and OEM play an important role on Core M performance. For example, the 1.1Ghz might have higher performance than 1.2Ghz model if the 1.1Ghz run in cold weather (like snow) and the 1.2Ghz in hot weather (malaysia anyone?). Another thing to consider is if the Macbook already running worm before benchmark? If so then the score will be lower due to the same thermal reason. unless there is a 2 system running in exact condition, it is still hard to judge for now if it is worth it (RM810 for the upgrade). I am waiting for Anandtech for Macbook review based on 2 models before i pull the trigger

As for the RAM, 4GB is OK based on your usage. spot on , my MBA HDD is 128 gb - split it between OS Yosemite & Windows 7 , windows 7 almost consume the other half barely left me with 3-5 gb to spare thus 256 gb with SD card support is recommend. Also , had experienced windows 8 with 4gb MBA , doesnt work well as it occupied mostly of RAM usage .

QUOTE(art6969 @ Apr 15 2015, 09:01 AM) Anandtech already come out their review But only for base model 1.1 processor Ya, quite disappointed on the review, missed out most important questions. 1. Like how is it 1.1GHz compared with 1.3GHz (performance, battery life etc) 2. How if compared to 2015 model (mostly in review are 2014 and older) 3. SSD compared with PCIe SSD in 2015 model

And about SSD storage i think 256 is enough coz can transfer it to other portable HDD
