is there anyway to manually enable data roaming?

the 3G signal in my office has about 3-4 bar and shows H, but the connection is intermittent and in some area no data connection at all

Agreed, prepaid call rate cheaper than u28. If data not enough can purchase add on data anytime instead of paying rm28 + 6% gst.

U Mobile Sdn Bhd aims to grow its postpaid subscription business, which is about 10% of its total subscribers now, to be on par with the industry average of 20%.

U mobile chief marketing officer Jasmine Lee said the company is looking at a balance of 80:20 between prepaid subscribers and postpaid subscribers, the industry ratio.

"Prepaid users will continue to drive the Malaysian market. The whole industry is at 80:20, which is a healthy balance, U Mobile is looking at this," she told reporters at the sidelines of a partnership signing ceremony with Sedania Innovator Bhd.

She noted that the postpaid services offered last year received good response as its postpaid subscriber base has doubled. The telecommunications company (telco) currently has 4 million subscribers, of which 90% are prepaid users.

U Mobile has confirmed that it has received spectrum allocation of 2X5MHz for the 900MHz band and 2X15MHz for the 1800MHz — both for a period of 15 years — from MCMC after the latter announced that it would be reassigning the 900MHz and 1800MHz spectra among the four biggest telecommunications operators in the country.

In a statement, U Mobile said the allocations will enable it to further enhance its network quality and services, and introduce more affordable services to the market.
