Yup he recommended Diamond 6. Haven't decided yet which to take.
I was in dilemma before too. Something worth noting down, for Llumar tint, the free tint, my SA say the tint dealer will give T4-50 for side glasses and ATR50 for front and back windscreen, only Diamond 6 for the side. ATR50 has TSER of 35% only and VLT of 50% only, definitely not JPJ-compliance for front windscreen, but if really got JPJ block, get saman, Llumar will pay, tint tear down by JPJ, keep old tint, they will replace for you, only thing is inconvenience for you. I ask for a higher VLT front windscreen, they give AVS, but it cost about RM600 on top.
And after some consideration, I share my decision making thoughts (DM):
1. Do you need security or solar film?
Security film:
- Pro: Safer when there is a break and grab attempt at traffic lights/traffic jam, can escape or delay the breaking attempt.
- Con: If there is a need to escape from the car, the only way is through the rear windscreen, or pull the headrest and knock the metal tip on the side windows as hard as possible until it break, and kick as hard as possible and many times, the whole window will go in one piece, a potential delay for any rescue from outside.
Solar film:
- Pro: Usually has better IRR rejection and TSER ratings than security films, unless getting the expensive security films.
- Con: Traffic jam/lights break in is easier.
DM: I don't put valuables in plain sight in the car, and I will put laptop bag in the boot (getting a sedan). Hence, less chance of daylight robbery. If there is a break-in at night when the car is parked, the thief will get in anyway, by smashing & pulling until they get in eventually, or worse, whack all the side window due to frustration and I need to replace all 4 instead of 1. For girls driving & passenger, I recommend putting valuables in the passenger glovebox instead of in plain sight. SmartTag put in the door holder/glove box when parked the car.
If there really is a smash and grab attempt, one still cannot escape when being in a traffic jam, and the hit marks on the side window will potentially shatter the glass in the future and requires replacement.
Eliminate the cause is always better than putting up barriers.
If I go for security film, I will ensure everyone in my car to know how to get out by using the headrest method, of an pointed escape hammer.

Notice a lot of u guys very willing to spend RM2k on tinting... I feel damn heart pain spending that amount...
RM2k for tint divide 5 years for warranty coverage = RM400/year
Some additional investment worthy for people who spend more time drive around as a way to earn money (salesman), but not really worthy for one who morning drive to work, spend all day in office air-con, evening drive back (office salaryman). Unless they invest more for extra driving comfort.
Always come back to this fundamental questions: What is your usage? Do you need it? Is it worth it? Can you afford the extra for this luxury?
