Dear all,

On Saturday I drop by GNC(Mid Valley), so i asked the guy why is the price is so much higher than market price.

His reply is that: The product that is sold by GNC is suitable for Malaysian consumption(I was talking about the hydrocut fat burner). He added that the product sold by the store online is mix with other ingredient which is not safe for consumption. The part that got me lol though was that he said about the protein, he say the one sold online must take about 4 scoop, and the one that GNC sells only need to take 1 scoop. Any of you can justify or give your opinion regarding this? Is buying from other store(eg musclemania) is fake product?

GNC is penipu scammer MLM based.
For eg: The same muscletech product selling for rm180(max outside). At GNC, they sell you for RM300(after member price deduct)

Thats why i buy outside, except for my child multivit, and my creatine pills.

then buy at BB.com also 100% original ma since its bigger company than GNC, somehow the express shipping from US all the way to Malaysia with such heavy protein tub still cost about the same as GNC, wtf are they thinking, and the staffs there are generally dumb, no knowledge or anything about nutrition

if you're worried about fake proteins online, get those with the best review and the most people that's buying.

As for those that says suitable for malaysian consumption, i think he meant halal ? or approved by FDA malaysia? you can get the exact same thing onlineif you want, but there are some preworkouts that GNC dont sell that works better, somehow they're approved in australia and US but banned in malaysia

That's cause your protein intake is still on the lower end. Once you grow bigger and need more protein, whey would be a good alternative.

Different marketing strategy different audience. GNC pay hundred of thousands to advertise via media that's why their product is expensive. Even the price is high, they have their own customers and they're successful.

You all know how to search via internet that's why can get it cheap.

At my ultimate genetic max I will be ~80kg 10% bf%, which is after 4+ years of perfect training.
So protein needs = 80 * 0.9(get LBM) * 2.2 (LBM in pounds) * 0.85 (protein / lbm) = 135g protein per day.

Currently also I'm getting ~125g protein per day. So just need eat 2 more eggs after 4 years of training.

0.85 is a general amount. I'm not saying you're wrong but I always treated that amount for sedentary people. Regardless, I'm just saying it's an alternative. I would take a scoop of whey, blend it with a banana and with some milk for breakfast. Yum. =D

Nothing wrong with taking whey, in fact it's good since whey is highest quality of protein and fast to mix and makan.

Anyway some reference for the 0.8:
http://bayesianbodybuilding.com/the-myth-o...r-bodybuilders/

And this guy, he's at his genetic max, 24 ffmi, 180pounds only eats 100g protein per day:

You can see his body when u click his channel. And one of the best bodybuilding advise, solid videos.

Lastly, just making people aware of what u really need and 200g cooked chicken + few eggs and milk a day is also quite overkilling it edy. It's all about the surplus.

i kind of had tried eating less than 100g(i think even less than 80g) proteins for a week, and guess what, i'm even more veiny than before, and muscle definition do look better im not sure why

but of course throughout that week im on a vacation and had no place to train so not sure how does it affects strength level and recovery

i guess this high carbs low protein thing only works for short term, like having a contest several days later so you wanna increase the muscle glycogen or something

He always exaggerates, bring the lolz. I think what he mean is if you do really high volume training "No carb" will not be optimal.

Anyway, yea u are true, alot of guys train heavy on keto.

Carbs are important in a diet as it provides energy to run our body. So in the absence of carbs in the body, our liver converts protein into sugar by a process called gluconeogenesis to fuel itself.
