Buy woods and cut them ourselves? Then, polish them. Voila.

QUOTE(ZR46 @ Apr 21 2015, 04:37 PM) But for built quality I suggest Filco Majestouch 2 but the keycaps will faded away. So, if have more balance, buy PBT/ABS DoubleShot Keycaps Set(Price around RM80-90) Doubleshot ABS Keycaps will still get oily surface after using it for very long. But, the legends won't fade. Now, some ABS Keycaps are sandblasted like PBT Keycaps... Causing them to last longer than traditional ABS Keycaps. And, a Doubleshot PBT Keycaps(with legends) Set is surely more than RM 100, usually RM 150-300+. |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Apr 22 2015, 11:08 AM) You mean they'll replace you with a new QFR-i directly without waiting when you take your broken QFR-i to RMA? My friend's QFR-i has some LED problem too. So, he's asking me LOL. He bought the unit from HeavyArm @ SS15. |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Apr 22 2015, 01:07 PM) Just to see your keyboard real age. I notice my Filco Majestouch 2 TKL Camo Edition is also 110XXXXXXX. Means it's manufactured in 2011. Possible is manufactured in March of 2011. The board more than 4 years... And I just realise, Filco Majestouch 2 TKL Camo Edition got MEDIA KEYS... Original Edition doesn't have them. https://www.diatec.co.jp/en/det.php?prod_c=810 This post has been edited by DarkSilver: Apr 22 2015, 04:02 PM |

QUOTE(antaras @ Apr 22 2015, 05:35 PM) If Blue Switches again, it will be noisy as it'll be. LOL.Would recommend Brown and Black, find these 2 colors are having lower noise production. Combine them with O-Rings, should able to achieve silence keyboard effect. |

QUOTE(justnits @ Apr 22 2015, 05:40 PM) pakai getah mestilah x sebes xpakai Do you realise, Filco is noisier than Ducky generally? i have done some mods to my friend's keycool 87 mx blue. the people surrounding him also complain him. so i cut and put in the nonslip mat inside the casing, underneath the PCB of the board. this reduces the hollow plastic case sound when bottoming out. and of course i put in o-rings as well. right now it's only the clicky sound from the blue switch and a muffled bottoming sound if u type with rage mode on. I think it's due to the steel plate that Filco uses. Using Blue Switch, complain everywhere. LOL. |

QUOTE(antaras @ Apr 22 2015, 05:52 PM) I tried to type softer, trying not to bottom-out each press because that would mean hitting the steel plate under the keys. I used CM Storm, Razer and Ducky before... Their bottom-out sounds are not as loud as Filco. And, Blue-Switch is Clicky, Clicky is Blue-Switch. LOL. No matter how, it's noisier than the other colors. |

QUOTE(dadudeneverabides @ Apr 22 2015, 07:35 PM) Bro, please use spoiler tag for large images. It is annoying to see suddenly whole page one picture Interesting, mind explaining more about the GB? Like PCB, Controller, etc? Also, links. And to answer your question directly, I am actually planning a small GB + assembly for China boards. Thanks. |

QUOTE(dadudeneverabides @ Apr 22 2015, 08:52 PM) Will be running 2 options: Interesting, I am poisoning my friend... hope he'll fall for this. LOL. 1. Satan 60%. This is actually a revised GH60 PCB with full LED support. 2. AKB96. This is a riskier project, as the supplier will only begin manufacture AFTER we have submitted payment with a manufacturing lead time of 20 days. 3. TKL. This one is pretty straightforward, but the case and all will be trickier since 87-key support in China is horrible. For the 60%: The taobao links are in the imgur album I posted previously. For the AKB: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=2013.1...90-a042db66af03 For the TKL: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....ucket=14#detail Can request for assembly, but might take some time. I am on another project with zennasyndroxx currently. |

QUOTE(firstknight @ Apr 22 2015, 10:40 PM) Come bro, let's make a Custom MKB. AFAIK, RM 500(more or less) should able to get everything done if you're taking parts from Taobao. Gateron 87 Switches(RM 60-80), PCB + Controller(RM 100+), Plate(RM 50-100), Keyboard Housings/Casing(RM 100-200), USB Cable(RM 30+-), Keycaps(RM 100). |

Maybe Ducky Legend(released not long ago) Mechanical Keyboard will feel better or have better quality compared to Filco due to it's aluminium construction.
By the way, I weighted a Filco MJ2 TKL(87 Keys @ TKL Layout) vs a Ducky Shine 4(108 Keys @ Full Layout). Filco MJ2 TKL, despite having lesser keys and non-LED here, still heavier than Ducky Shine 4. And, don't forget about Vortex branded keyboards. The latest Vortex POK3R Keyboard is using pretty thick aluminium case. This post has been edited by DarkSilver: Apr 23 2015, 10:36 PM |

QUOTE(zack2468 @ Apr 24 2015, 11:38 AM) Thanks antaras. HeavyArm in SS15? They got quite a number of display models, they got something like Ducky, CM Storm, Corsair and Razer...Btw do they have sample keyboards for testing? i would love to test them out first before buying. And which shop have the largest selection of mech keyboards? Sorry for many questions. First time buyer here. Though, their price is higher than other places. But, you can try a few MKBs over there. Alternatively, you can try to go Lowyat and search for display models...(but, they mainly display those keyboards we usually don't recommended like Logitech, Corsair and Razer because they're not using standard layout and sometime using china made switches) However, even so, they usually don't have display models for something like Filco. |

QUOTE(cloud8992 @ Apr 24 2015, 10:47 PM) You are mistaken Bro Lowyat got one of most selection(ducky, filco, cm strom) due to the amount of shop there is and viewnet do have filco where you can go look and c zone even have ducky limit edition shine 3 yellow and other limited edition not sure still available but the used have them I mean Display Unit.My last visit to Lowyat, and I don't see Ducky and Filco as well as CM Storm as Display Units. Not sure if they've them on display now or not... Of course, we know Lowyat got everything like Ducky, Filco, CM Storm, Tesoro, Ttesport, Razer, Corsair, Logitech, Armageddon, etc. This post has been edited by DarkSilver: Apr 24 2015, 10:50 PM |

QUOTE(cloud8992 @ Apr 24 2015, 11:47 PM) The thing is in Lowyat you can ask to see and they will open for you LOL. At viewnet they don't even care if you open the box and test. For the Viewnet, totally, agreed. There's no sealing sticker or anything on those keyboards. And, nobody is watching you. LOL.For some other shops, depending on brand policy, some brands allow you to open the box and see, such as Filco. For Corsair and Razer, I think not. Those boxes are usually sealed completely. Once it's open, you can see it has been tampered before. |

QUOTE(firstknight @ Apr 25 2015, 12:26 AM) AFAIK, you can't test the real without the whole keyboard taken out. 4 Keys over there is like a joke, at least for me. LOL. You can only know or feel the Switch Type(like Tactile or Linear). But, real typing and usage feel are something that's completely different.
