QUOTE(Krytone @ Apr 2 2015, 11:25 PM)
That usually happens when the paint inside the can is not mixed properly or not shaken enough. Also it would depend on first few sprays that it needs to be very thin then let it dry before spraying again. This happened to me a couple of times already and thought it was the paint.

Do a trial spray first on some plastics before you do the actual painting to get the hang of it.

I assume that since you are painting it, you know the proper preparations before spraying and did those things so i didnt mentioned it.

I did know the steps, but, I failed it some how because there's dust n stuffs. I keep on spray spray spray to cover those things.
In addition, I put on a box and the paint somehow dried and glued the keyboard on the box. doh.gif Taking it off causing some paints to torn apart too.
So in the end, it turns out to be too thick and failed. doh.gif
Guess I need a very close dustless environment and also proper stands/hangers.

Gosh... did you sand between coats when it ended up uneven?

Doesn't sound like you did much sanding to prepare it for spraying...
*
Already sanded a lot. I got tons of photos if you wanted to see.

Anyway, I failed because of some factors I just said... (check post above)
Paint torn apart when pulling up and also dust caused me to keep spray until overly thick causing uneven.

Although, I can't make a perfect straight good white paint surface job(planned to stop the project already).
But, I still manage to make it doesn't look suck. LOL. And, the thing is I quite like it.

You ned a wire keycap puller to remove your keycaps.
Will be useful once in a while if you want to change keycaps or cleaning.

Ya, longer sized keycaps sounds louder than 1x size.

I see , its my daily use smile.gif

I still need more stories ! :3

Overall feel and experience. Like the quality, the comfort, the performance and durability.

Try a Blue Switch MKB with a normal rm 20 keyboard. I assure you can feel the major differences between them.

There's no need to go for super expensive or custom made MKB... You can always get a good MKB under RM 300.

iKBC is making good keycaps for MKB. thumbup.gif

Filco is Japanese brand but made in Taiwan mostly.

Ducky is Taiwanese brand and made in Taiwan.

Usually, sifus here mostly recommend Filco and Ducky as well as some models from CM Storm for 1st timer MKB users. smile.gif

Hi guys sorry for bothering
can anyone suggest me a backlight keyboard with blue switches
my budget is around 350
*
CM Storm Quickfire Rapid-i TKL
Ducky Zero Shine Full/TKL

But, a friendly advise, LED is not a very durable product, very likely to die although myself never have one died before.

I thought it was pretty cheap actually.

The only reason I got one is because I used my friend's ducky when I visited him. Unfortunately I can't take a keyboard with a picture of duck on it seriously enough to buy it and I really like the fit and finish of the DAS, because it reminds me a lot of the industrial keyboards I used to program on when I was a field engineer working at QGC's Ruby Jo.

Plus the alu top is a really nice addition. Now if I could only get metallic keysets not made out of Zinc or Alu.
*
Industrial Keyboard?
I would recommend other brands... LOL.
Maybe, GMK Triumph Adler?

Or, you can try Realforce Keyboards, they're REALLY INDUSTRIAL Keyboards.

unless you are able to opt out near RM400 cash to get mkb why not. if u needed those money. dun go dive into it just yet. ordinary keyboards will do just fine with gaming, mkb doesnt really improves gaming performance by literally huge gap (i still can own in bf4 with my RM20 cheap kbd). however we do advice typists and serious gamers to get mkb. btw mkb values are always high even for 2nd hand so its considerable a good investment. in the end, it will always go back to personal preferences.
*
If one doesn't care about the true quality of a MKB, one can always buy a MKB(with clone switches) in TaoBao.
Lolita Spyder 87 is a very good buy! Starting from RMB 199(around RM 120 here). tongue.gif
It'll be at least better than those "Mechanical Feeling" Keyboard or RM 100+- Keyboards. smile.gif

That battle scarred filco. I didn't really like it the first time you post it here. But looking at it now at a different angle, that thing is actually quite nice. biggrin.gif

Just that the blue doesn't really suit it IMO. But overall good job!  thumbup.gif
*
Is it suit now?

I think pure black or pure white keycaps will match it better... But, meanwhile... I just leave it as this state 1st.

I prefer this than the blue one more. smile.gif

But looking forward to see what mods you can do to make the keycaps a matching theme. smile.gif

try not to overdo it as its quite a heart ache to see a heavily scared filco.  sweat.gif
*
Yea, I destroy quite a lot of parts, including the Filco logo also got damaged.
Now, I think to complete it, I'll spray the Black Keycaps to white and damage them. tongue.gif

About the DAS 4C series, can you confirm is it really using Cherry MX switches?
Reported it's using cloned switches from Greetech.

And, that price... LOL.
Don't you agree it's too over?

Don't think so.
This is similar case like Razer, people continue to support regardless of their pricing because they feel worth and confidence about those brands.

Still, many M'sian will buy DAS since they have some keyboard review in internet.
*
But, Razer fail ultimately. Using Kailh Switches, and too much RMA units.
I guess, it's more like Marketing and BRAND names.

To all the sifus here, I'd just bought a Tt eSPORTS POSEIDON ZX Illuminated Gaming Keyboard, Brown Switch. Is it a good entry level mecha keyboard? Thank you...
*
NOT the BEST certainly due to it's not using Cherry MX Switches(Made in Germany) but selling at high price by using Kailh Switches(Made in China).
For that prices, you can get Ducky Zero Shine TKL(Made in Germany + Taiwan) already which is way better.

Doesn't affected the price even how many n-hands. No comments on the price.
Filco do not have keycap puller to begin with.
So, you have to purchase new keycap puller, so you can remove the keycaps and clean that keyboard.
I'm sure there are lots of hairs, dusts and "etc" in the keyboard.  shocking.gif
*
My Filco comes with a Keycap puller by default.
I guess maybe older batches of Filco do not have it.

Want white keyboard? Taobao may able to help...
Something like Keycool HERO 87 Keyboard.
