Gateron Clears are linear, so it's not a fair comparison... but I like the soft touch.

Bro, happy with your items? biggrin.gif

For ergo clear, you can compare with gateron brown.
Brother yuktsi say it has stronger tactile feeling than mx brown

Ahh, think I mess up my question

1. Gateron black linear vs Ergo clear mx
2. Can I make ergo clear from brown mx/ gateron brown?
3. Do massdrop ship 2 different drops in a shipment? ( Granite + ergodox)

1. I think you're confused here. Gateron black linear is LINEAR while ergo clear mx is TACTILE. The thing you should be comparing gateron black to is cherry mx black. Gaterons does not their own version of ergo clears / cherry mx clears.

Fair comparison would be,

Gateron Blues - Mx Blues
Gateron Browns - Mx Browns
Gateron Black - MX Blacks
Gateron Yellow - Heavier MX Blacks.
Gateron Reds - Mx Reds
Gateron Clears - Lighter MX Reds

2. Ergo clear has a stronger tactile bump than mx browns. I'm not sure about gateron browns.

3. If im not mistaken I've read the FAQ or somewhere on massdrop that says you cannot combine 2 drops shipment. Each of them is own its own.

If I can't change the layout I might need to sell this 60% because I need to be able to launch function layers on the left hand...

Ah alright. Linear switches feels like nothing. No tactile bump, nothing in between. Just feels like a downward push and a little bit of spring tension depends on what spring you uses. For me the most similar to clears feeling wise i've used i guess is blues but without the click sound. I've not used other switches than cherry mx though like topre/buckling spring/alps/matias etc so i'm not too familiar with those. But for cherry clears are the most similar to blues for me. You should really try them at a retail shop though different people have different opinion. I like both linear and tactile switches personally.

i used to be clicky blue lover but now turn into linear lover sweat.gif
no regrets though rclxms.gif

EDIT: i have to add, i didn't like the stock mx black and stock mx red. the black springs are slightly too heavy for me, and the red is slightly too light for me, and both feels scratchy.
i have lubed old wyse keyboard's mx black on my nerd tkl using mx blue's stock spring, they feel wonderful.
now i'm re-building my ducky shine 2 from mx blue to lubed gateron red using 55g korean gold plated spring.
still in the process of modding it.
