Sometime it does smell like new paint 😂. A bit dry. Unique for sure.

SOTD. Aventus Cologne.

Open with Fruity blast like the OG for the first 15mins but added with mandarin orange note and more vetiver. U also will get reminiscent of CAHSEE. I dont get mint notes here. Definitely lighter than the OG. Very suitable for our weather. Longevity is between 5-6 hours with moderate projection. Nothing ground breaking here, but is is a really nice fragrance especially if you love the OG.

Purchased 1ml of cultivated oud oil (malaccensis). Origin: Slim River

For oud fragrances which i enjoy the most, FdB Sahraa Oud. Own few from this house. Now started to appreciate Roja Diaghlev, Pdln3 and UAE. Really beautiful fragrances.
Xerjoff Alexandria ii , and their attar also quite nice.

Initial thoughts on Lavender Extreme

First spray is bright lavender. A high quality lavender which exudes calmness rather than those generic ones which will reminds you of Ajax Fabuloso.

After a few minutes, the lavender note retreats to the back to reveal powdery Tonka and some sparkle from cinnamon.

It stays pretty linear till the end when I re-sniff the blotter a few hours later. Gonna test more soon 😏

Looking for a good deal for that before pulling trigger. Most important thing, never buy at retail price. 


SOTD. Roja Elysium Parfum Cologne.

This is a lighter and brighter version of Elysium. It has similar vibe to BDC but with a smoother blend (maybe because of heavy grapefruit note in both). I enjoy wearing this during the daytime. Longevity on my skin is around 6-8 hr with moderate projection while the parfum edition is  12hours++.

PAPHI was released first in 2011 and TFN was released one year later in 2012 but I sniffed TFN first because every guy in London buses was wearing either TFN or Spicebomb that year. PAPHI and TFN smell very similar with the same patchouli+amber+vanilla combo. The nuances that set them apart is that PAPHI has added myrrh and TFN has Guerlinade accord, which I also love. Oh yeah, the EdT version of TFN smells very close to Habit Rouge EdP.

TGIF, I'm wearing Calling All Angels by April Aromatics. The only certified organic perfume in my collection. Winner of the 2013 Artisan category Art and Olfaction Awards. I bought it directly through aprilaromatics.com on xmas eve of 2015 during promo for EUR120 shipped. I've checked just now, the selling price is still the same at EUR142 excluding shipping. It's an incense amber bomb. I bought it for the same spiritual reasons I bought Incense Avignon.

Another question, does anybody have a small decant of GIT. I'd wish to have a sniff at least once in my life for this alleged masterpiece.

It was my first purchased of Coolwater. The performance of this frag is letting me down. I couldnt smell it after 4 hours. Maybe due to reformulation.
