Sahraa oud for me is the next level among them all. I also love Oud Noir and Oud Vert.
I went crazy with this house last time. End up buying few bottles. smile.gif

PAPH <> PAPHI. PAPHI doesn't carry the same soapy vibe as PAPH. PAPHI is powdery sharing the same scent profiles as Tom Ford Noir and Habit Rouge EdP.

Today's one-day Bonuslink member's day at Parkson. Going to make that BdC EdT purchase later.

I'm a bit late but dayymm  shocking.gif , I only like oud intense, I've only tested Sahraa n oud intense though

the oud smells like some of the Malaysian oud oil that I smelled in some agricultural fair, don't know if that's a good thing
*
Malaysia’s oud in its pure form is one of the best in the world i would say. High grade premium quality oud oil mostly originated from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand. Next level would be from India/Sri Lanka.

Added Oud Ispahan into the collection.

Tried Spice Blend but i think it should be renamed into Spice Bland instead. Initial blast is strong with pepper spicy nuance before fading off into sweet cinnamon rum-ish woodsy notes. Not worth it IMO.
*
Congrats bro! I almost buy oud ispahan until i tested oud palao, found oud palao is more challenging and interesting, end up bought a bottle from Diptyque Pavilion.

From the list you shared, I believed you have been watching Jeremy’s YT channel....good place to start, then you will get addicted and start looking for other reviewers channel too until at one point you’ll think that Jeremy is s*ck. But then you’ll come to realise that you are wrong, he is as good as other reviewers, just in his own way. For me personally, I like to watch Sebastian from Smelling Great Frag Review and Redolessence.

I think most of us are attracted to the way he describes it in a more laymen term when starting initially. Monster. Beast mode. Ladies compliment magnet. Smash your head. etc lol. And not to mention his reach on youtube is bigger than other reviewers and as you start initially, you'll tend to favor review from someone who have lots of subscribers and views.

But as time goes by, his content is just the same old content rehashed over and over again to me. And that's when I started to look at other reviewers and discovered big beard business (energetic fella, pity all the boxes he smashed), chaos fragrances, indofragz (our neighbor reviewer), timmy from imagine scent.

Nowadays, my go to reviewers are gents scents (I love his rant video on scentbird), redolessence, sebastian, demi rawling (eye candy  wub.gif ) and robes08. robes08 reviews are like a book and duration could take up to 20min+ on a single review. He's very thorough in his review.

But I can't deny the influence that is Jeremy. He's who kick started my fragrance journey  biggrin.gif

How can I forget Demi Rawling....hahahaha.....I love to watch her channel too and forgot to mention, Joy Amin and Cuba.

Don't feel like want to use the newly bought Sauvage, maybe too many peoples know about it. Think want to use somethings less people using or able to find.
*
Anything in mind that less people using or hard to find cologne?

I 100% agreed with cocooh, try DHP or DHI first before you delve deep into niche scene. Personally, niche cologne is an “acquired taste”, it takes time for your olfactory bulb to learn and get used to those unique/exotic scent. But of course, you will be different from a mass if you wear niche. So, go out there and try out both DHI/DHP, get either one you like, force yourself to wear it even if you don’t really like the smell. This is one of the way to let your sensory to learn and tell your mind that the smell is good. Why DHI/DHP? They both sharing the same DNA but slightly different characteristic. They both smell niche enough, not so challenging but at the same time it could be less appealing and not for everyone.

Then, if you can take DHI/DHP, slowly put your nose into niche, look what MFK, Creed, Diptyque, TFPB can offer you. I don’t really recommend you to try Amouage yet at this stage as it is very challenging to wear and definitely not for everyone. If you can take those mild oud from MFK, Creed or Diptyque, then you may try Amouage. If you can’t even take Creed Royal Oud, forget Amouage as your sensory is not ready for oud/Middle Eastern style yet. But I maybe wrong since olfaction is very subjective.

He can try Reflection Man first from Amouage because that's the most un middle eastern one from them and it's easier and more mass appealing to pull it off. It shares vibe with JPG Le Male.
*
Oh ya you’re right, Reflection Man - stronger version of Le Male. Sorry abg globe, no intention to offend you ya. But, i don’t really buy the idea of getting someone new in niche to try Amouage, LOL and i’m truly sure you know the reason behind it, hahahaha. It will really turn them off to go deeper in niche, am afraid. Let us slowly poison them which I believe you are very good at it. LOL

Yehlai, Go get Aventus....that was how i started my niche journey a couple years back hahahaha

No offence was taken bro. Just reminding people the lovely reflection because it was mt SOTN yesterday from my sample vials hehe.
Yes we racun them to the dark side faster bro 😂
I agree it's challenging but maybe bro yehlai might take a liking to it because he's looking to not smelling like everyone out there.
From the way he described about getting Sauvage EDP being fit for his character I can see that he knows what he wants. He's a guy who have determination and purpose. A person who makes statement. To me Sauvage is a fragrance that makes statement. It's loud it's there. It's in your face and it performs. Going by that line of thinking made me think of those from Amouage 🤭
And since he also mentioned not liking YSL LNDL being cloying and too sweet for him, he might find DHI not to his liking. While DHP is darker and more masculine than DHI, he might find it cloying too due to the iris opening. But who knows. But DHP is also a statement maker to me. Maybe yehlai can try Dior Fahrenheit too 🤔
*
You sound like House M.D LOL, my favourite TV series....too bad it has been discontinued ages ago...

Current formulation of Fahrenheit is too watery, less petrol vibe IMO (hahahaha).....good for a starter probably. He could also try E.Armani Stronger With You Intensely, Spicebomb or even 1million Prive. I have spicebomb and 1million prive and they both unique and quite loud. I tried EA Stronger with you Intensely before, but still thinking whether worth to get it or not.

I bought something from Ken’s when I noticed the promo but not AC. I’m not a fan of AC much except for Oud Saphir. Went there to redeem my RM500 voucher.

2 days ago I went to test the 2 Dior oud, cannot accept the scent
*
You can’t accept it now because your olfactory is not ready and not train for those type of scent yet. As what folks here recommended before, try Dior Homme Intense/Parfum or Guerlain L’Homme Ideal and see if you like it. If you want to skip designers and want to jump straight to niche bandwagon, I highly recommend you to try Parfums De Marly, there are few offerings that you can checkout if you want to be unique. Try Layton/Herod/Carlisle/Pegasus etc from this house and see which one you like.

MFK only available in Ken’s KLCC and BSC, but the range there is not as extensive as the pop up MFK outlet in Pavilion.

Hi all, any perfume recommendations for teenagers ?

Unless you are a working teenager or have enough saving, just buy Dashing. Even if your parent is rich, save money if you plan to get a decent frag. Otherwise, stick with Dashing.

Ready to delve into the real Oud? Go find pure/raw oud seller, try our local trad oud and if you are lucky you might find oud cambodi as well.
