At first spray, SM Cafe opens up with deep complexity of all the notes inter-mingling around. However, the most prominent notes that I detect are Coffee, Leather, slight smokiness from the Tobacco + Cade as well as sharp sandalwood.

It took around 10-15 minutes for everything to settle in before Coffee and Leather takes the centre stage. Overall development seems to be linear starting from this point, but subtle changes can be detected on every hour.

I can only compare this to Cardamom Coffee from Lush as its the only other coffee fragrance the I've tried. In comparison, SM Cafe's coffee notes stays around throughout the fragrance journey whereas Cardamom Coffee's fades a tad too fast.

In the dry down, everything becomes more and more "blurry", with the leather note disappating slightly more than the coffee itself. At this point, cedar wood, cherry and lavender starts to creep in together with tonic bean, bringing out slight vanillic and gourmand-ish touch.

Longevity: More than 8 hours
Projection: More than arms length for the first hour. Arms length thereafter for 2 hours
Silage: Leaves a nice balsamic scent trail due to strong javanol base in this fragrance.
