Tried Absolute/Grand Neroli, it was just okay on me but you may dig it if you like neroli.

As a iris fan, I have yet to try Absolute/Silver Iris, this one looks promising.

Not going to buy anymore perfume for my wife and mom for this coming xmas. Their bottles I gifted them previous years can still last them for quite a while. As for myself I'm currently eyeing on a bottle of vintage (discontinued) Gala Loewe from evil bay.

I bought from them once before. Gabriel (the founder) is a nice guy and visits this forum. It is based in Singapore. Probably the price is based in SGD. Be sure to shop around.

Thanks t0n3 for the insights. I find Iris to be a little powdery (or it was just me). I ain't sure if it were its characteristic.

Iris itself is powdery (I dig powdery scent) with a carrot smell. They say Iris Silver Mist by Serge Lutens is the reference iris scent (that one smells like raw carrot) but Dior Homme is a winner for me when it comes to iris scent.

Nice scent in your wishlist bro..
I do have their previous line up in a small decant. As well full-bottle for Orange Sanguine & Cedrat Enivrant.
Their quality was superbly awesome... Even is in cologne,Is pure extract.. Hence the scent lasted pretty good on me wink.gif
Find their 'Exclusive' Golden leather & Absolute Grand Neroli was worth exploring.. A thumbs up for bro list.

I do agree that Iris have a powdery finish. Hence i'm quite particular on Iris base frag.Same as Patchouli & Aldehydes Some like it some they don't smile.gif

For a start, you could try http://my.bestbuy-world.com/ or from fellow LYN members like marver's. At least those are in RM so you don't have to worry about currency fluctuation.

What would you recommend to a 19 year old beginner who only ever used Axe before?

Is Old Spice a good brand to start with?
