Was busy at work whole day today. My sample of the day was Bohemian Spice by April Aromatics. Right off the bat, I get a blast of kitchen spice tinted with sweet orange, which at this stage reminds me a bit of Calling All Angels from the same house and then almost immediately incense, sandalwood and patchouli start to join in. All in all, it reminds me of Borneo 1834 by Serge Lutens minus the cacao note. Projection and longevity are average on my skin after the loud opening.

My SOTD was Absolu by Rochas. Can't get enough of this awesome tolu goodness, which smells kinda similar to Tolu by Ormonde Jayne.

SOTD - Michael for Men
Pure Malt by Thierry Mugler with spices and tobacco added. It opens up with in your face spices and sweet fruity accord with a touch of tobacco. It then quickly mellows into very nice light fruity tobacco scent with the spices toned down a bit. Moderate projection and good longevity on my skin. It's one of the scents I plan on letting go.  |
