QUOTE(Gmruleme @ Oct 21 2015, 12:35 AM) lol dat link WOT.. DF pretty much like a branded price with reduced function (like video, but we don't care although we mainly shoot images lol)-- so is DF like not really a hot camera now? and people ignored the fact that DF is small size hehe... but they i think also dont care much about size when talk about DSLR XDD also with that size and price i think you can get FF sony SLT easily right? |

QUOTE(Vox @ Nov 12 2015, 10:30 AM) Hi everyone, officially joined DSLR! 24-70mm f/2.8 G Journey was Lumix LX5 ---> Canon EOS M ---> Nikon D7100 + 50mm F1.8 lens Still very new hope to learn from everyone here. Mostly shoot on Auto mode on my previous cameras. Time to go Manual Btw, is there any lens to introduce which is commonly used for travel? I prefer a more versatile one as this 50mm is kinda close sometimes. My friend actually borrowed me his 15-55mm kit lens but just wondering if there is any better one. Love taking crystal clear shots with huge bocay! Thank you in advance! |

QUOTE(Vox @ Nov 14 2015, 05:40 PM) Btw serious question here, anyone know where can I get some beautiful design stripes for the camera? The nikon stripes suck cos Im not really a fan of yellow haha beautiful design i duno, but i using neoprene strap for less painful under hot weather especially my neck skin will tear off if you use the rough surface of the default strap and it is longer than kit strap one so i can wear like messenger bag.... okay i just remember i using this OP/TECH USA Strap » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(wkwong91 @ Nov 15 2015, 05:23 PM) just like the spider shot he did This post has been edited by Agito666: Nov 16 2015, 12:14 AM |

QUOTE(mingyuyu @ Dec 5 2015, 11:25 PM) Anyone here knows where to send lenses for fungus cleaning around Kampar or Ipoh area? lu no pakai dry box ar? spend rm300+- for few year worth it wor... i till now lens sitting there no fungus. I kena the lottery again today, lens was still clean in the morning but after travelling for few hours in cold air-cond some fungus appeared As crazy as it sounds, I am quite sure that the cold and humid environment caused the fungus to grow, as I had checked the lens yesterday night and it was still fine. A few spots appeared on the rear element of the lens which I managed to wipe off with lenspen but there's still one within the inner element. haiz... got dust only ------------ btw dilemma for thinking to get higher volume SD or CF card for D800 upcoming 2 weeks plus trip, i know i will shoot many rubbish shot for street one... SD card is cheaper than CF. but err ... i duno which class is nice enough for shots. also want get micro SD for my G4 phone as well for shooting random videos |

QUOTE(annabelle89 @ Dec 6 2015, 07:02 PM) Yup, that's correct. But it's heavy i think get a good camera phone is fine too :vI travel alone sometimes and it's tiring carrying it around with other luggages. serious, even my dad i think he ditch his sony nex5 and just use phone i bought to him instead. LG G4. for camera strap advise, aside the heavy weight object issue, the strap texture itself also need to put in consideration especially if you travel to UAE or indonesia those hot weather one, sweaty neck and long term sun expose on your neck skin then when you move your strap... bam.... tear 1 layer of skin |

QUOTE(annabelle89 @ Dec 6 2015, 08:23 PM) Yup, I did bring only phone the last time I travelled alone XD Feel so sorry for the camera >< stock neck strap normally is very bad. I'm traveling again in Feb and thinking that I'll bring camera this time. Otherwise it will just lay around in the corner forever. Just bought a shoulder strap from eBay, hopefully it will be good. for travel one lens. i use 24-70 all-the-way only haha. rest of that i crop only |

QUOTE(annabelle89 @ Dec 7 2015, 02:45 AM) depend how you shoot la lol. 55mm is far enough or not lol... since you got 18-200, you twist your zoom ring into 55mm mark, then try look around is that what you need?IF, i said IF, you most of the time shoot around 50mm, get 50mm prime lens all the way also okay.... aperture also bigger and allow most of the light come in.... down side you canot zoom only haha i used to be carry 35mm for trip for a while with D70s (old dslr, ISO not wide enough, so need f/1.8 for slightly darker shot like evening lighting) just suggestion only |

QUOTE(AlphaOmega001 @ Dec 7 2015, 04:19 PM) Hi guys, currently using a d300 for a good few years now. Plan to upgrade to FX. I love me D300 but i find its low light performance is not up to par. D750, recommended by kentang one. also got swivel screen for FX body. Any recommendation ? Looking for a value for money FX body My priroity is good performance under low light. D610 is more budget one i hear. but only hear if someone want go for budget FX one. or D800, D810 if want go yolo 36.2 mp. or DX one D7100/ D7200 i forget liao...since not much update news i follow here. both 24mp note: normally newer tech DSLR all improve ISO one, so actually good for lower light environment. QUOTE(mingyuyu @ Dec 12 2015, 08:22 PM) extra rm160 8gb = 100 shots (actually lesser, 94 something for raw only), so i guess 64gb=800 shot.i am still running 2x32gb cards and to me it's more than enough. (luckily not a d800 user ) QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Dec 12 2015, 08:41 PM) My 3x 32GB cards (sharing with Fuji) seems quite enough already But I will usually bring my HDD and laptop along for professional work la, just in case my last turkey + athens + santorini, about 2 weeks, i got 8gb CF + 16gb SD inside, i go borrow my brother in law 32 gb micro SD, 8 GB sd card...something... still not enough... my old HTC M7 phone with 16gb built in one also pecah memory because i shot video there... thats why now change to LG G4 and get 64GB card for video spam, 128GBs for shotssssss , QUOTE(DS_Legacy @ Dec 12 2015, 08:43 PM) ayam use 1gb when i use D70s, 300 plus shot for that, till when i get my 8gb card (now in D800), it was jacked up to 1.2k shots ayam so terharu and like bring my machine gun snap snap snap... when change body, become 300 shots left » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(mingyuyu @ Dec 12 2015, 09:03 PM) QUOTE(DS_Legacy @ Dec 12 2015, 09:05 PM) i didn't bring laptop so i buy big storage one |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Dec 13 2015, 12:42 AM) Ohh, just for your info, you can actually shoot at 16MP, that will double, or triple the amount of shots you can actually take true also, but just potential of cropping image will be lesser or not? i also lazy to keep switch setting every time XD This feature works well with the 24-70 since you won't gain that much range (after x1.5) like this one https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=109...&type=3&theater crop into this https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=109...&type=3&theater or actually i loss wide angle only? 24 into 35mm widest in 16mp This post has been edited by Agito666: Dec 13 2015, 01:00 AM |
