Sorry being a newbie, why is the need for a filter?
*
a piece of glass that degrade your picture quality but never enhance it. ( UV filter only )

but it offer
1) physical protection , like flying sands from beach, accident like camera drop on sharp object.
2) preserve 2nd hand value (maybe) like how you put your SP on your phone LMAO

but got plenty of new users go straight away for full pro range tongue.gif

yeah just wonder why people will go for that... like let say, beginner range not durable or something
but now latest tech all go on beginner body what? mostly la... like new processor or image processing software for testing water right?

my frist was D70s, because that time no beginner range at all like D3000 lmao

when newbie ask about opinion , recommend pro/ consumer range is 1 thing.
but just now he ask with 1 line of question and suddenly want mid-pro range, i am curios why he choose that. later regret liao we all are guilty and can buy 2nd hand body for cheap if he sell it and change back to compact camera? whistling.gif

Agito, I thought I remember the other time you mentioned that you sent in your 24-70 to clean fungus at SC? How much did they charge? Is there a mark anymore any they clean?

Thanks.
*
i think that one i sent to yannick to clean fungus few years ago. didn't notice any mark afterward.
after that when i take to last year trip baru notice the focus alignment off then sent to SC (and do annual cleaning) before they move to another place.

What about the focus alignment at SC? FOC?
*
damn it i forget...

100++ i guess, not that expensive for 5k-6k lens? rolleyes.gif (i forget total bill is 100 or 200)

but since i do it like 2 years from the last service so yeah... i just leave it be.

i was not sure what cause about the mis-focus / focus panel off, i only notice after i back from trip and the edge of photo of 1 side is bokeh-ed unnaturally with F/8 or smaller.

Not sure if this is a place to ask? Admin pls delete if inappropriate.

So I got a good deal for Nikon D750 in Shanghai xing guang photographic equipment mall from a Nikon reseller (or as claimed) for rmb8200 + 9% cc charge. Another shop in a less photography popular place, Metro City, also Nikon reseller, for rmb8800 + 3% cc charge. Both will add up to about RM5500, new body only.

My question is, should I buy from these places? I don't know how to guarantee that they are official resellers of Nikon or if those items are genuine products. They do look and feel genuine, I've tested them. The shop in metro city has a genuine cert displayed on their shop front too.

The cheapest deal I've seen offered in Local stores is rm6250 so I'm tempted to buy in Shanghai but just very worried about the authenticity of the product.

Please advice. Thanks.

nikon body does not carry international warranty. those so called ori or grey set the difference is charger plug head (because different country different wall plug mah) and warranty issue lor.

so if you buy china one, then if anything bad thing happen, you have to send back to china to claim warranty.

so far i never hear a FAKE DSLR la hehe... laugh.gif

does it mean if the charger plug head is for china use means it's a fake? so as long as got nikon warranty card it's good already right?
my current camera so far 6 years also nothing happened la *touch wood*
i read there are some cases they swap out the body with an old device and things like that lor, sigh.
but if it's genuine new body then it's a good buy!
*
erm nope lol... i mean if you go china buy DSLR there, how you gonna charge it in malaysia since it is different plug head sweat.gif
unless you buy a traver plug head converter or buy UK/ MY plug head spare part for battery charger.

warranty, i think no fake warranty or something, just if you buy from china, of course in logic you have to send your camera back to china claim back warranty?

i not really sure about body fraud case, but 2nd hand Lens got...

need to ask other sifus here to double check since i now using my 2nd DSLR body only lol... last time that one should be 8 years old laugh.gif

If u already used to 17-50mm at that range in DX. Then 24-70 is a good choice for u. Or maybe u can get a prime lens?  icon_idea.gif
*
he said 24-70 is in his choice list but weight is another issue laugh.gif

but then Durable > Weight issue biggrin.gif

i think u guys misunderstood, or did i misunderstand?  confused.gif  confused.gif

i rephrase.. im not saying that there are no difference in D750 and D600S.. what i mean no diff is the body design (which i didnt like)
*
i think he mean the AF-ON button is different aside the factors listed out.

D800 or those pro body have AF-ON button on easier access place.
