To be safe, get the black hose type.
But I've been using transparent type for 10 years(not advisable).
Regardless of any hose you are going to use, you must make sure the connection points are intact at all times and depressurize it when not in use.

For Gas Regulator with pressure I feel is horrible, cause my mom is using it. I feel is dangerous cause the gas run out so fast and is smelly just like hawker stall.

Ha ha

few months back when we moved in SG and bought the gas hose & head from JB, the gas delivery guy said this is malaysia one, can't use in sg without safety lock.

He recommended us for this $70, until today got this thread and notice it made in germany.
Totally can't smell gas leak at all.

Check ur gas hob specs first. A lot of hobs with safety valve cannot use fancy high pressure regulators.
The one normally sell at hardware shops are ok. Go for safety fire resistant hose, yellow color. They are the trend now.
Also I always look for sirim sticker. And test with soap water after fitting.

There is only 2 type of regulator in the market. The residential type have 2 type which is lower pressure at the spec of 2kg/hr flow rate and 1.5kg/hr. 2kg/hr are more common.

While commercial type is higher pressure which is 6kg/hr. But mostly can adjustable from 0-6kg/hr.

For home use get the residential type.

You have hard time to read the gauge if you put the gas inside the cabinet. The cabinet height prevent you from reading from the top. Unless you put the gas outside.

I think your parent without meter reading also cook as well, just notice the fire turn into red & warm color.. That is a signal to tell you wanna change as soon

Your purpose to get this kind of regulator is to check gas remaining and leaking? But it is not fullproof. Don't see it solve your problem.

Ha.....

Here a simple solution and 100% got gas all year round. Just get a spare tong gas. 1 run out, switch over. And take your time to order another 1. No hurry.

Easy solution and no need gauge.
