Huawei Watch short review

user posted image

  • Simply awesome screen! Really sharp and thanks to AMOLED pure black.
  • The watch look awesome now. No more "cacat" feel! Yes! I simply can't stand on Flat Tire screen in Moto 360. I rather without the ambient light sensor than having flat tire.
  • Awesome build. It just simply elegance and also weight like real watch.
  • Android Wear is much better now compare with 1st generation. Now it is much easier navigation and better, at least the annoying Ok Goggle no longer display.
  • The new firmware update finally show full screen like Moto 360 during charging, no longer only tiny charging indicator.
  • Battery life can stand a day or more with full screen on (iddle time is dimn mode).
  • The only cons to me is the charging dock. Huawei why don't you use wireless charging!

My take on LG Urbane

Good battery life smile.gif ... watch can actually go for 1.5 or 2 days single charge ... with dim mode ON  thumbup.gif  rclxm9.gif

other than that same as any other AW i think

just one rant is when u r used to the big display like moto 360, the face on LG seem small but now perfect round face

u win some u loose some  sweat.gif

Nice! smile.gif

The battery life similar as mine

recently change the gear s2 classic watch band to metal band:

even remove all the removable watch band link, it is still slightly loose on my wrist. sweat.gif

anyway, I think overall appearance is better for gear s2 with metal watch band compare with original leather band.

actually it is same color with gear s2. the only different is the watch strap metal s slightly matte which is less prone to finger print. unfortunately it only can max remove 4 metal links. it need to remove at least 5 link to fit well in y wrist.

i would like to see if this topic may pin the useful tips for new smartwatch users..

example, what kind of apps is recommended? for running, watch faces, music apps, social messaging, fitness apps?

I would like see these kinds of information if possible.. most likely ppeople do some sharing in middle, but if possible the thread owner may summarize and pin it in first post..

I second that.

Anyway, I am also thinking to buy a smartwatch. Currently eyeing on LG Urbane (RM999 on 11street - because it is the cheapest smartwatch that I can get and I love LG tongue.gif).
Urbane users, does it have sleep tracking monitor? How about fitness app? I already watched youtube reviews but none of them give much details on it. Currently I am using garmin vivofit2 so I would like to have similar and better features on my future smartwatch.

And does it support calling / receiving calls?
Or should I wait for LG Urbane 2? hmm.gif but the design is too sporty.

Thanks guys.

No AW dont support any call or receive call ... it is just and extender of notification on your phone. I never sleep with my watch on .. used to do it with my smartband but now no more ... gonna get the new Miband with the heart beat tracker later this week.

Fitness app other than the default google fit one u need to install a third party one that support AW.

I am not fimiliar with garmin vivofit but i think u can find a third party app that can emulate the same function on AW
