QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Nov 13 2015, 10:57 PM) Real nice! Huawei watch is very expensive. I maybe considered the gear s2 classic also. How the pre order works? I read in the term and condition that stated rm200 payment will through paypal. This mean i need a paypal account or they just using paypal payment system? Can i pay with debit card? I love it but no money buying it. Huawei though they are famous enough to sell everything high price. I will pick the classic. The most valuable now. |

QUOTE(camron @ Nov 16 2015, 03:40 PM) non-3g version has mic for listening your voice command but it does not has speaker. So, no sound coming out from your watch. The 3g verson has both but most probably not coming hear as it is using e-sim. Any release date for huawei watch? I still like the android wear more but the gear s2 rotating wheel and price is very attractive. |

QUOTE(zhou86 @ Nov 16 2015, 04:17 PM) Should be able to work, but have to import coz Samsung Malaysia seems to skip this model. Sure expensive... the 3g version of gear s2 is using E-SIM. I read about local telco is not supported it yet if not mistaken.3G Specs here: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_gear_s2_3g-7585.php the LG urbane 2nd edition also come with LTE support and using a more conventional nano-sim. Hence, it can be using to call and answer a phone call without a phone: http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_watch_urbane_2nd_edition-7607.php |

QUOTE(amdx @ Nov 28 2015, 06:29 PM) Only the white and black background have the skeleton option in the second page of classic watch when in stylised mode. The blue background of the classic only have calendar, grande, etc. No skeleton options. QUOTE(Jaschong @ Nov 28 2015, 11:35 PM) 2. The gesture to turn on. Well it's more of hit and miss thing to turn it on with gesture. Did i miss out anything on turning on something with "always on" that shows the actual watch face rather than reducing it to the two hands whenever it's not at the 'right' angle? There is a apps "i am alive" that keep the screen always on with full function watch face in the gear store. I think the battery will take a hit if it is always on.I do hope when the gear s2 pair with Bluetooth it can answer call. No need revert back to phone to answer call. |

QUOTE(HanzoZero @ Dec 5 2015, 11:36 AM) I did put a tempered glass on gear s2 classic. The tempered glass did not go from edge tob edge. This make it easily spot the temperd glass layer on top. I take it off now since it is spoilt the appearance of the watch.Anyhow, the tempered glass did not affected the watch ring operation and touch screen sensitivity is not affected. QUOTE(kamikraze @ Dec 17 2015, 04:19 PM) So is that a good buy? So far watch review mostly saying Gear S2 will occasional lagging. And not much app supported. For 1k+ pricetag, should expect better user experience. the gear s2 is very smooth for the navigation and stock apps. I do read in the other forum if the apps do open alot in the background, it will slow down the watch. Actually i did not have this problem but i do facing some bugs in the software before the first update.I really like the navigation ring and user interface. the screen is very beautiful and bright. i do not have any problem with the display under sun light. I do like the S health app also. The battery is also last around 2 day. the biggest cons of gear s2 is the S-voice (If you like to talk to your watch). i find it not so accurate recognize my voice. The other biggest cons is the availability of third parties apps as you stated. It is generally new watch and new tizen interface for the watch. the third parties apps support may get better as time goes by. this one have to wait and see. I think these two aspects android wear is way better than gear s2. I dont have much complaint about the apps available for gear s2 since it is only got 1.2inch screen, more complicate task you do want to use your phone anyway. But i do like to have a rss reader or podcast apps and opera mini for quick searching the web. hopefully these apps will be available soon. I read that if you have a non-samsung phone, you dont have paid apps only free app available in the gear store. I have a note 5. i cant confirm on this. QUOTE(singgung @ Dec 17 2015, 09:36 PM) I like to monitor my steps count through s health and i think it's quite reliable. But if u have both phone & gear s2, are the step count or other items within the app sync? There are times where u go out or take a walk without either one and if so is there going to be different readings between d phone & d watch? I normally only use the watch to track my steps. I just test the situation u stated above. I just observed that you can switch the source of tracking your step between phone and watch at the shealth apps in phone. It seem like these data is independent. It won't added the step count of your phone to the watch or vice verse. At least, i can't find it yet in the apps. The phone and watch is keep on tracking. You can select view which data in the s health app. According to xda, gear store paid apps is just enable for non samsung phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/ge...d-apps-t3272834 |

QUOTE(kamikraze @ Dec 18 2015, 01:15 AM) Thanks for a brief explaination. Well, so far I don't do much on my Pebble either. Sold my Pebble Time as underutilized most of the functions, like voice type. So voice command won't do me any good at moment. It could view and reply notification from gmail, whatapps, sms. Other apps i didnt use much so no ideal. Refer the below link for list of apps and how gear s2 interact with it.As my main concern is the stock app on the watch do carry their job well? Like receiving notifications and etc? Got vibratation? As for the paid app, do we need to buy separately that what gave on Google Play? Given 4gb storage, I guess can be use to store music? Can it stream direct to bluetooth headset? http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-g...e-add-here.html There is a vibration when notification coming. There is no notification sound as it do not has a speaker. It can play music from storage of a phone or from the watch itself. U need to connect to a bluetooth headset/speaker in order to do so. |

QUOTE(singgung @ Feb 10 2017, 11:03 PM) After more than a month using GS3, tonight I found out something for the 1st time. It happened only once & I can never make it happen again. After receiving whatsapp message, where we can only read the last chat, there's a 'Read more' option at the bottom and I can read all previous chats, sent & received. I got messages from 2 different contacts at that time & I have the option to read more for both of them. Anybody knows how or why it's possible? It shows that it's possible to view previous whatsapp chats but in only happened randomly once for me. There is a apps in samsung store that let you see the history. I think it call w history. |

QUOTE(singgung @ Feb 11 2017, 08:55 AM) Lol yea. I know. But i prefer the ability to reply with keyboard / finger writing on tizen rather than voice on AW. As it is now, either way i still have to pick up my phone. To read or reply messages. I also think samsung should update to enable view chat history. Btw, Android 2.0 can let type with built in keyboard. I still like the rotating bezel in gear s3 than lg watch scrolling crown.Yup. I bought it but it's better if we can have native app ability to read all messages. That app doesn't have the option to read sent messages though & I found that some replies didn't go through when i replied through it. But it's a nice alternative for now. |
