QUOTE(hwa107 @ Jan 16 2017, 11:53 PM) I think I'll pass on Asus Zen Watch 3 due to it's proprietary band. So for now it's just Huawei, which I think is almost end of it's production cycle line, no? FYI, huawei watch also sort of proprietary Regardless I'll wait until Android Wear 2.0 and also Google SmartWatch release see how, unless my LG G Watch R suddenly died on me, then it'll be Huawei The band/strap looks like 22mm but the spring bar size was 18mm. So if you want 22mm band, you cant. If you want swap band, can only use 18mm. If you can wait, then no point getting Huawei watch as Google's one should be better. Unless Huawei watch price drop lower few months later. Forgot there's another option for you, LG Urbane 2 LTE, cant recall whom but one of the active forumer have it. QUOTE(hwa107 @ Jan 17 2017, 10:04 AM) I just read this: Not sure if such band are easy to find, if even exist http://www.droid-life.com/2015/09/17/huawe...-change-straps/ It seem like the band is 22mm, but because of the lug u have to find the one with 18mm at the end but strap still 22mm. Is it possible to use normal bar without the lug for the watch? I know some watch shop sell those bars. If so then I think it'll be the same with Asus Zen Watch, just change to normal bar then it won't be proprietary anymore? Normal bar should work no issue, as long size fit. |

QUOTE(kelvin @ Feb 9 2017, 01:48 PM) Technically AW 2.0 launched yesterday, so the update for those supported will coming soon I guess Huawei Watch and Urbane 2 will be fast, as both had developer preview for long time already. This post has been edited by Someonesim: Feb 9 2017, 01:56 PM |

I was hoping the Sport model will be more rugged design, but this one not elegant enough ( compared to Huawei's polished metal ). Neither here nor there
I still want Tag Heuer Connected look, add 2 extra button then really nice |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Feb 9 2017, 09:25 PM) The Android Wear currently damn good already. I dont think we need AW2.0. But I still eager awaiting it for my Zenwatch 2. I'm waiting for Google Assistant build into AW, more standalone AW apps. Was waiting Android Paid on AW as well but now it's confirmed not working if phone have unlocked bootloader.QUOTE(d33pbluez @ Feb 10 2017, 08:16 AM) That what i don like about this watch, the band is kind of turn off..... samsung gear did that on their gear S2 and it didnt sell well..... Already move on to ZW3 for that steam-punk look, couldnt be more happy Well there is alternative you can have casio WSD F-20, it look rugged enough.... ![]() and it is android wear else you can settle down with Tizen Gear S3..... Garmin Fenix 3 was not bad either, it feel like wearing steroid pebble time with best battery life.... im wearing for close to a week now without single charges after my first charge with only 76% left on the 6 days with occassionally play around with watch face and connection bluetooth for sync the health ![]() |

QUOTE(joytest @ Feb 24 2017, 05:08 PM) very nice, but couldn't they have incorporated wireless charging? Want to lock you down on their ecosystem/accessories, the usual idiot strategy the exposed charging/data contacts will corrode with prolonged exposure to sweat. It happened to my Gear S after 3 months. Constant cleaning would only slow it down a bit. |

QUOTE(singgung @ Feb 27 2017, 08:58 PM) I'm really not that surprised. In fact I kind of expected it for ZW2 since we have to wait for quite some time to get the speaker & gestures supports last year compared to other watches. But it's surprising that ZW3 has to wait that long too. I thought it's almost ready for AW2.0. The usual Asus tradition |

Potential value buy Android Wear, Misfit Vapor
The usual Wear 2100, 4GB, Wifi, heartrate sensor, GPS, 1.39" AMOLED no flattire. Good part: touch bezel ( presumably like Samsung Gear ) 50 meters water resist ( might be first or only one ) 199USD price tag ( even cheaper than ZW3 ) http://www.androidpolice.com/2017/03/23/mi...atches-yet-199/ |

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Mar 27 2017, 07:44 PM) Looks like can easily swap normal strap. AP follow up and confirmed that it has ambient light sensor. So only 2 let down: No NFC and not major manufacturer ( might have delayed s/w update ? ) |
