moon0610 How many % of KGF is now in your portfolio?
Any other funds are in your portfolio?
IF your risk appetite allows, IT is perfectly Alright to be focusing on M'sia fund only.
But i think if possible diversify-lah abit.

My portfolio as below:

Kenanga Growth Fund (epf) - 20% [MY]
CIMB Al-azam - 10% [MY]
CIMB Dali Equity Growth - 10% [MY]
ASN3 Imbang - 10% [MY]
CIMB Asia Pacific Dynamic Income - 17% [Asia]
TA South East Asia - 26% [Asia]
Arberdeen World Equity - 3% [Global]
CIMB Global Titan - 3% [Global]

Less % on global as i just went into this area recently.
Heart itchy to top up KGF cuz i like that fund hehe.
But yea, should look into my portfolio in a rationally instead.

Just to give some perspective, let's take Berkshire Hathaway for example. BH has never given distribution nor share split. Today its unit cost around USD 150.00 per share. very high right? Will put off many investors right? See the price only... turn-off liao.

Another example, albeit a local one, is Manulife Investment Linked Managed Fund. Its NAV is RM 4.00++ per unit vis-a-vis of most UT at less than 50cts per unit. Again, it is a turn-off for most investors.

So distribution is one way to bring the unit price down to "enticed" new investors.

Xuzen.

p/s Just my opinion, wrong or right? Is just my opinion.

*yawn*

What to do with the current market. US hitting new high. Maybe can consider topping up before the next interest rate hike in US, because it will only get higher after that.

HK/China market how ah? Didn't monitor.

My current holdings:

Kenanga Growth Fund - 60% (Malaysia focus)
Eastsprings Small Cap - 15% (Malaysia focus)
Manulife India Equity Fund - 15% (India focus)
Aberdeen Islamic World Equity Fund - 10% (Global)

If I bring ASB into the picture, my holdings are roughly as follows:

ASB - 79%
KGF - 13%
ES - 3%
IEF - 3%
Aberdeen - 2%

Am I too focused in Malaysia? A bit of a worry I think.

hmm.gif personally i think you will be alright.
i agar agar think only....ASB+KGF+EISC is about 95% of your portfolio....
what are the chances of ALL of them (especially ASB) falls >15% and stayed there for > 12 months?
(you know how much this 15% losses be? OK for you?)
how long has this ASB fund been launched? based on Historically results not possible?..
if you think that there is a possibility,..then do plan for some contingency where you don't touch this monies..
