Rather than answer u directly i.e. cook fish for u...let me teach u how to fish

- on its own
- compare against its peers
- compare against its benchmark

what to compare and see?

Expense ratio
Absolute performance
How bad it dip i.e. how it fares during downturn?
Did it lag behind on rallies?
...
among others

Go, go use FSM's tools to do all that homework wink.gif

Btw, why Aiiman? U Muslim? Why not Affin Hwang Select Opportunity instead? That can invest up to 30% overseas. Aiiman Growth is 100% Bolehland if I remember correctly.

I think anyone who has invested in something would have been reaping some sort of return by now, unfortunately don't get too comfy with your investment yet... big iceberg coming...

The biggest risk to the ringgit, and a host of other currencies, is the likely hike in US interest rates. Economists say that as time moves towards that decision by the US Fed in June, the US dollar is expected to strengthen and the momentum flow of capital to the US is expected to continue.

Any thoughts where to stash your investment next?

US funds maybe??!

noticed that nobody mention Amprecious Metal before, one of the top volume funds. Why? Not for the fainthearted?

yes,...not for the faint hearted....with a lot of monies too.
for me....if I can take in max 5% of this fund in my portfolio..........I would have switched this 5% allocation into Kenanga Growth fund or some other core fund in my portfolio.......
how is the performance of this Amprecious Metal fund in the last 5 yrs? how is the annualized return so far since its inception?

anyway,...found this old article on amprecious metal by FSM...eventhough "old" but I believes it is still relevant.
Chart Talk: AmPrecious Metals...... September 30, 2011
Charts are one useful way to visually present the performance numbers of a fund. In this Chart Talk, we look at AmPrecious Metals, compare it against its benchmark, and see what the chart tells us.

some people can always with ease say this "......One approach could be this: "Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful'. Buffet, of course. You decide".

hmm.gif but ..no not for me on this fund,...but I am also wondering if they walk the talk on this too.

Ah, I see. I see that the growth is rather consistent. Even KGF has got up and down, this fund is like growing linearly.

Is this why this fund so popular? laugh.gif
