Then move to China as well?

No idea. If I want to move to China. I'll switch from CIMB GTF or add cash investment.

I have RSK-UOB China-India Dynamic Fund with me but it's roughly 5% of portfolio.

I'm planning to save for a house DP. Maybe in 3 to 5 years time.
Will be using UT to generate the extra figures.

Target annual yield = 9 ~ 10 ( possible? )
Will try to buy every month =~ 800 perhaps.  ( not able to squeeze more I guess =( )

I might be having a too optimistic view on the returns.  Lol.
*
hmm.gif do you have enough in emergency funds.
how much is the expected DP?
Target yield of 9~10% can be "expected" so is "negative" yield and yield of 2~3% too.
These yield rate can stay for a few years just like it can jump up and down yearly too.
With these uncertain scenario...just dun't put all eggs into one basket if you have a "Target Return Time' of 3~5 years.

hmm.gif Else can try consider or put some in those "Target Return" funds...
yes that is not a guarantee TOO...but at least the FM has a "Target" to achieve.
(FM has the tools, data and team to make decision and are not so emotional in making decision thus "may be better" when compared to normal investor)

example the target reads....
Performance Benchmark
The performance benchmark of the Fund is 8% growth of NAV per annum over the medium to long-term.
This is not a guaranteed return and is only a measurement of the Fund’s performance. The Fund may not achieve the targeted return of 8% growth of NAV per annum in any particular financial year but strives to achieve this return over the medium to long-term.

Yesterday, I have given an estimation rule.

Let's say all those funds have an average of 15% exposure in China & Hong Kong, this will translate to 8%.

yes,...
if those holding Ponzi at 53.4% of the portfolio and this Ponzi has abt 38~40% in CHina/Hk alone....
then the % of China/hk alone is substantial in the portfolio....

For RM5K, my no brainer answer would be:-

(1) KGF
(2) Ponzi 2
(3) CIMB Global Titans

in equal portion.

Stop. Take a deep breath. Read at least 5 books on unit trust investment and asset allocation. Then come back and take the plunge. Some of the books are not cheap but worth their weight in gold.

Are you based in KL? Then you may consider going to the National Library to borrow the books. They have a good selection of investment books. You can borrow 6 books at a time. Save yourself a few hundred bucks. Then buy the book you like.

Good luck!

Still got upside potential for KLSE and KGF in particular? Yesterday was a significant drop in NAV.

Ponzi 2 yes definitely.

CIMB Global Titans vs Aberdeen World Equity? hmm.gif

In that case AIWEF would be a safer bet rite especially with investors moving funds out of US?

Definitely since it's Shahriah compliant and risk is more diversified.
