After much consideration, research and bargain, finally got my 3DS XL (Even though unlike N3DS XL got C-stick, better 3d, better processor, more power but still......) rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

And here's the grinds-my-gear part:
1. Some ppl mentioned Daiso actually sell the USB cable for 3ds but couldn't find it, what should it look like in package??
2. Screen protector first party or third party one better in terms of cost-reliability ratio?
3. Circle pad pro worth buying?? (Because probably going to get MH4U)
4. Did anyone think the N3DS XL is worth the hefty price in the long run? Since NX is next year, who knows if it's handheld or home console or both right?? shakehead.gif

Anyways hurray!! rclxms.gif

1. It's a cable that is made for the DSi. It won't show that it's for the 3DS though.
2. Hard to say. hahahaha. But usually the actual Hori ones are much better.
3. For MH4U, yup2.
4. The only worthy reason to get a N3DSXL is only because you want to play Xenoblade Chronicles. Everything else does not matter. The 3DS XL would work just fine.

And congrats on your purchase. hehe.

adding on...

1. I tried a few daiso... I couldn't find the DSi USB cable, only selling iPhone4 legacy, and android. cry.gif
2. I've been using Hori since NDSL... highly recommended.
3. agree. in fact, many Capcom games will give you better gaming experience, if you have gamepad pro.
4. agree too. I see no reason for me to upgrade from 3DS to N3DS, unless I want to play Xenoblade.

Don't know about the 3ds, but on the new 3ds the 3D is stellar. I leave it on all the time. MH4U and Fire Emblem is fantastic!

If you want to see the 3D effect, the N3DSXL is so much better than 3DSXL.
Once you turn on the 3D on N3DSXL, you wont want to go back to 3DSXL.

Of course if you dont want to see the 3D effect, then this doesn't matter.

want to ask, what is the normal full charge time for N3DS XL? today i play Persona Q, off 3D & sound, manage to play for 6.5 hours, then the red light blinks, so i off it and charge around 8.30pm, then now is around 12.30am but the red light still there?? i thought full charge only needs 3.5 hours from the manual?

that definitely takes longer than 3 hours. prolly there was a glitch or something. i rarely on the 3D as my eyes couldnt take it. and yes playtime extended up to 6 hours but my charging time was around 3 hours... didn't really notice the light cos when i checked my console, there was no light already. i assumed it's fully charged.

Hmmm... 4.5 hours is long but I think I've experienced that before. Maybe your charger plays a role too. Not sure. Just monitor the charging time next time & see how it goes

Trying not to become a physics teacher (which i am not), there will be no optimum result and time on how long you need to charge the battery. All is just estimation range only.

You know our TNB that supply current to our house is always flunctuate, not fixed current per second. Second will be your 3ds battery. How empty is your 3ds battery when you start to charge it.

Conclusion, just dont care la

Even when the 3ds in ultraman mode (red blinking) the 3ds can stay strong for about 10 min (tested on my new3ds) so i believe there's still more juices for XL version. That is not considered empty yet.

So if you totally want to charge it from zero, try to let it shut down by its own then only you can test the full charge time period

Get a new charger. If not refund for a new unit.
